I don't agree with the wars we are having, but to set the facts straight - we did go into Iraq and effected regime change by killing thousands of Iraqis, including Saddam and his sons. I don't get how it's funny that they weren't intimidated. Our goal was not to intimidate them; it was to take them out. Unfortunately, the same will happen in Syria. They can bend over backwards to compromise, but the US will have nothing short of Assad falling on his sword, literally.

No. I am saying that many who follow Islam choose to be violent over their beliefs. Why they choose such is beyond me, but they are still Islamic followers and they are still Muslims, even if YOU try to dismiss them as "not real Muslims." I'm not a Muslim but you can't blame any religion for the acts of the followers. the religion provides the rules through scripture and it's up to whoever follows that religion to follow the rules it's not the religion's responsibility if the followers choose not to follow the rules and ignore what's been asked of them.
