Well, it does follow the manga. It skims through the episodes that the original series covered that were canon (up to ep 20 I think in the original series. Brotherhood sums em up in about 10 at the most I think).

From there, Brotherhood follows the manga strictly except a filler or two, but they're not bad.

Either way, it's deffinately worth picking up.

@dewybmt I'm not sure if you are aware or not. This song "brother" or "Bratja" is part of the first animated series of Full Metal Alchemist, before the Brotherhood version was made.
