Lastly, what's the deal with ResLife? They said as part of their "master plan" or whatever that they "renovated" Laws a few years ago, but I couldn't tell. Quite a few washers and dryers fucked up (one dryer never worked at all the whole year), oftentimes the change machine was broken, and sometimes at least one of the vending machinse would stay broken w/ no one fixing it for a while.

The elevators were still shit when I came to laws in 07-08, so I didn't notice any "renovation."

Some classes, like political ones, are in so many different areas, it's ridiculous. I had a class in GCB for Comparative Politics, but I have 2 political science classes this fall in 2 DIFFERENT buildings! It's like "WTF? Make up your minds and just put all the classes for each category or genre in a separate building, not spreading them all over the place." I mean, seriously. Is poli-sci not 'qualified' to have its own building for classes on campus????

I even had an Econ. class in Ellis Auditorium, the same building that houses the LIBRARY! Imagine that: there isn't a big enough econ. dept. or econ space in one of the other buildings to have the lectures, so they had to have some of the classes in an auditorium in the library building. come on, now.

I ended up using most of my meal plan points on limited food (mostly poptarts and those refridgerated things) from Timeout. Emporium is way better. Their burgers are actually appetizing. Dobbs' frozen burgers are filling but dry as hell.

Good thing I got a dorm in a much more convenient location this year, eh? Fuck laws. I remember seeing girls wearing shirts saying "Live in Jones", and I thought about getting a shirt that says "live in laws" and then putting "don't" before it.

I was so glad when Thursday or Friday came along last year cuz I had saved up a lot of my weekly meal points (21-meal plan) and could get a bunch of snacks n stuff. Emporium sure was a lifesaver. Of course, it was a bitch walking all that way and then walking back to Laws, esp. with that hill area by the Rec.

This campus is big, but it's just not 'user-friendly' in the way they designed the layout. They could've done better to make navigation easier, IMO.

At least I won't have to walk quite as far to get to fucking Middlebush for my NORML-SSDP weekly meetings. Those took almost 20 minutes walking at a normal pace from Laws. I almost wanted to quit just so I wouldn't have to walk so damn far for a fucking group meeting. I did quit Students for Progressive Action earlier in the year partly for that reason. Plus, SPA is nothing more than leftists masquerading as "progressives."

Not to mention Laws is at one ass-end of the campus where the only things nearby are the Rec, the Business college building (Cornell), and Greek Life. And they gotta shitty Dobb's. I had to settle for a job there, which isn't too bad, but since I work 3-4 days a week during school year, I eat about 3-4 meals a week there, which kinda sucks cuz it blows as a dining hall. I prefer Rollins and Plaza 900. I haven't really gone to Eva J's except once, so I'm not sure what to make of it.
