Its like a cross between the song "my girl" and the theme song on "Family Guy". Or it could be the sound of my cat throwing up a hair ball. Not sure yet.
hi man!! so is it what i see?works like a mouse in all aspects of the programs with all programs and no effort?if so grate !!!!also i found 2 vers. the one that you have ,and this one :ProLite T1731SR witch is a 17 inch and is like 120 euros more expansive than yours...why is that? are there more futures in or what ??? don't know much bout touch screens:-) but im on the run for 1:-)) so please inform me!! thanks!
@ultrameka : Hi, you're right, the touchscreen simulate the mouse fonctions. I don't know about the ProLite T1731SR but I think it is concerned by industrial uses like cash register for example.
@Samplehunter13 ok! grate!! and some last think .....im planing to use the screen in a horizontal position...will i get any uncomfortable or reflection issues?is it comfy in the end for long time use during the day? i get the feeling that i may return to the mouse in time to time if there are any issues with the above ...and we don t want that do we?:-)
@ultrameka the best plan is to use the screen at 45°. In that position, it's very comfy even for long time. But you have to keep a mouse near you, because some softwares or functionalities aren't easy to control with the finger.
@Rainasainzmann And the award for most inane, poorly-written comment of the year goes to Rainasainzmann! Everyone give a round of applause, as he really deserves this award. What a fucking effort, buddy.
No, The way multitouch works on Macs vs Windows is completely different. Since thus monitor uses the standard Windows 7 touch input way, no way...
I've tried with an Acer 23" monitor that was a touchscreen.
But hey,...Unless you built the monitor flat into your desk, and a=have a second one to actually look at, you really cannot work that long this way... Since you have to have your arms up, every time you interact with the screen.

WOW the implications in this for live performance are staggering. You say this comes with cubase preinstalled? In fact what is this exactly? Sorry for my ignorance.. Is this a tabulate made by google? could i install different software on it? Like FL studio or Sony Acid? Is it windows or Linux based?
@RealityIsAnOpinion Hye, It's just a dualtouch display: iiyama Prolite T2250MTS. It works on any PC with Windows Seven.
For live performance, because this display is just dual touch and because music softwares like Vst and Vsti are still only one touch, it'won't be as nice as a Lemur an iPad with TouchOsc. But anyway, it's a very nice display to control Daws and Vsti.
are you kidding? if this was multitouch, the guy would at least once demonstrate it, but he just does single touch the whole time, grap the stylus... and what is this silly half transparend mouse symbol that hops around on the screen? but i guess for cubase users it must be just right...
@marchanson123 , hye, The screen is just a dual touch, and cubase like 99,999% softwares is monotouch. The silly half transparend mouse symbol is a windows seven tool for touch screens that help you some times to do precised mouvements.
Anyway, controling cubase and every 'plugin's with this screen is amazing.
@ThaJSpraya : yes, it is not a midi controler, it's much better, because there is not installation, no interface to configure, no midi parameters to program etc.. and you control any softwares. You do not need to buy another computer, it's just the screen that become a huge and universal controller

yeah, working with DAW software via touch on my little studio is the reason I want to buy this. only thing is bugging me is screen quality, is it good?
@Samplehunter13 Yeah, I noticed from several videos that it's glossy, but otherwise seems like good screen. Thanks for info, just ordered one and will get it tomorrow :)

Hy, The screen quality is good (colors, time's response). the only things to know is that it's a glossy display.
The construction is good, and heavier than a normal 22' screen.
