Funny we don't always realize that they're Southernisms because we use them so much. Sometimes it takes a transplant to point it out to us. I never thought about the lack/like thing.
Doug, I really enjoyed this one. I knew a few of these, as I have/had friends in Texas and New Orleans. THey "make" groceries, etc. But I didn't know about hose pipe and the meat 'n 3. Those are neat. Bless your heart! < I say that a while, but almost always in a sarcastic way :)
Hey Doug...I really enjoyed the video! I'm from Arkansas...Do you know what we call a coke? A cold drank! If someone does something we don't like then, we say..I don't like about it! I'll send more later..Ha Ha
Don't forget the many uses of the verb "fix." Example: I'm fixin ta go to the Piggly-Wiggly OR She was fixin chicken salad with dark meat, bless her heart. Thanks (from Washington, DC) for your vid.
I'm surprised. I really did think "buggy" had to be a Southern thing. Of course, I've never lived in your part of the country so I guess I just didn't know. Thanks for the comment. -Doug

Not sure if you'll believe this, but I've never tried peach cobbler. The word "cobbler" sounds creepy. But I'm glad you like it! -Doug
