The seagrave rigs have been coming with a mechanical q in the bumper since about 2007. It sounds ok,but there's nothing like the sound of a real one. Some companies buy and install the real ones on their own,but when the rig goes in for service they have to remove it since you are not allowed to alter the rig in that type of way since everything is computerized now.

first, its FDNY! and second, someone has to the shut the garage. Engine usually leaves first, followed by the truck, who pulls out with 1 firefighter in station to shut door, they run out and get in truck :)

watch any other FDNY vehicles leaving station for 911 and they all do it.
