What a great reminder of the potential of all human life. 24 years ago, I was 19, single and pregnant. With the help of my parents, I had a beautiful son that has brought great joy to me and my whole family. I cannot image this world without him. I know many women who regret abortions, I know of none that regret giving life.
I left the Catholic Church several years ago and am a strong Word of Faith Christian. This video depicting the sanctity of life is absolutely brilliant. If Obama's mother had made the choice to abort her son we would never have had the privilege of seeing history in the making. My life will never be the same. This ad shows that all life (including that of our president) starts in the womb. It goes a step farther at the beginning of the ad and talks about his stats. It really didn't make sense for him to be brought into this world, did it? How many just like him were aborted? Yet look at what he's achieved. I didn't say that it would fix things. But it's justified all the same. Psychologically many people would not be able to carry a baby to full-term if they were raped. With a child growing inside you as a direct result would impede progress emotionally after that kind of event. And political correctness is over-rated. I think it's a very valid point either way. It's only compelling because it's overly dramatic. Christians are some of the biggest hypocrits out there. They've done so many horrible things in the name of their religion throughout history, but they continue to act like they have the moral high ground. This video may be clever, but that's all it is (and for the record, cleverness was usually seen as a negative attribute in God's eyes).

What a great reminder of the potential of all human life. 24 years ago, I was 19, single and pregnant. With the help of my parents, I had a beautiful son that has brought great joy to me and my whole family. I cannot image this world without him. I know many women who regret abortions, I know of none that regret giving life.

I left the Catholic Church several years ago and am a strong Word of Faith Christian. This video depicting the sanctity of life is absolutely brilliant. If Obama's mother had made the choice to abort her son we would never have had the privilege of seeing history in the making. My life will never be the same. Although I was in the very early stages, through this procedure I felt my child being torn away from my womb....my child....God's child...a life never to be lived. I am truly sorry.

The reason there is hate and neglect is because of the sin in this world. God allows sin and misfortune but He doesn't cause it - an important distinction. If people don't care it's not because God doesn't care, it's because people aren't perfect (they are sinful). If this world were perfect, there would never be hate, neglect, miscarriages, or abortions. If you're going to get an abortion you have to be comfortable with the idea that you're having something that shares your genetic code removed from your body...whether it's 1 day into your pregnancy or 8 months....same DNA. The hair and eye color - decided! Sex of baby - decided! A heartbeat can be detected at around 22 days after conception. The earliest you can get a surgical abortion is 6 weeks (42 days).

It really didn't make sense for him to be brought into this world, did it? How many just like him were aborted? Yet look at what he's achieved. There are 2 things that doesn't hold water in all their pro-choice reasoning:
1.) When the pro choice decide to keep a child they created, it's a child from the second they see the blue stripe on their at home pregnancy kit. But it's not a precious, beautiful life worth keeping if they don't want it. 2.) There have been more deaths from abortion than war. The people going to war are of voting age and decide the danger for themselves, the lives chosen aborted have no choice.

The question isn't "Whether abortion is right or wrong" its "Whether the government can take away the choice of the woman and family in having an abortion." Personally I think abortion is a despicable act, and would never choose that over the life of my own child.
But I do not believe that the government has the right to take that choice away. Government taking away choices from the people is still unjust, no matter how disgusting the act they are trying to prevent.

I love the Catholic Charities. They helped me give a child for adoption when I was 15. I met my daughter when she was 21 and we are now friends and I am part of her life and the lives of her 4 kids. I wish this commercial could be aired - it is excellent on so many levels!

I didn't say that it would fix things. But it's justified all the same. Psychologically many people would not be able to carry a baby to full-term if they were raped. With a child growing inside you as a direct result would impede progress emotionally after that kind of event. And political correctness is over-rated. I think it's a very valid point either way. It's always all about perspective. We all need to respect people's choices. We can't say what's right about anyone but ourselves.

Yes I do know how much prenatal care cost are, I have 4 children and come from a family of 8 children and a single mom and grew up at times when we did not know from one day to the next where our food was coming from but with my mom's faith in God and her determination
to make it we made it. If there is a will there is a way. There are alot of programs
out there to help pregnant moms. Abortion is an easy way out.

But it's YOUR OPINION that it is a mortal sin, yes? If you have it your way, nobody can get an abortion under normal circumstances, thus imposing your viewpoint on absolutely everyone in the country. If we end up legalizing abortion, nobody will come force you to have an abortion, it's your choice to have as many kids as you want (and I think it's great that you do). But then nobody will have a CHOICE. They'd be constrained by a religion that might not even be their own.

I really don't think we have the knowledge to judge the eventual outcome of the lives we're living. That's why, in order not to be lost,etc, we must spend our lives searching for meaning. What better answer than the traditional teachings about God's nature. Once we accept that He is all-loving then we can try to incorrporate what we see around us in that framework.

Some (not me) might argue that even that is opinion. They might argue that it's a *potential* human. I want to clarify that I'm not pro-abortion, just pro-choice. In a perfect world it would not have to happen, but it will anyway. It's better to legalize and regulate than it is to have women have back-alley abortions and die from that, thus eliminating two lives.

I was raped when I was 14 - the Catholic Charites helped me to give the child to a good home. The child was NOT at fault - I did not want to punish the child. The family that took her could not have children and were ecstatic.
