@TheBigLT - Maybe I speak solely for myself when I say this, but I disregard the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII and just enjoy the original game. At least, that's what I personally do.

actually all we saw was him engulfed in the fire we were never told he died in game most ppl just assumed this up until advent children made its release then we all know he was crippled and horribly burned
