  • Rickenbacker was a very hardworking and ambitious man.

    You must also remember that he was GROUNDED for 3.5 months due to illness when he achieved his most famous exploits.

    He was very dispassionate about death, having faced it several times and you must also remember that almost everytime he shot down a plane he also killed someone!
