The center field fence is only about 370 feet out. With that presented, I'll let the viewer be the judge of how far that ball traveled.

A similar measurement shows that the ball would've cleared the building with that trajectory if it traveled 572 feet. The video makes it pretty clear that this is not the case. Like I said, judge for yourself, but keep the facts in mind.

Yes there is a certain amount of strength as far as having bat control. One has to have bat speed. In the case of hitting a softball. One does not have to be as strong to hit a soft ball very far. In baseball the first thing to go when a player is not the player he use to be is bat speed. Players like Mike Piazza and Mark mcgwire and Jose Canseco and others steroids or not are still stronger than most players today. However the bat speed lack of will result in retirement..
