  • dodges back seats have always folded up with only one hand just saying

  • first trucks that i will by.

    1. Ford

    2. GM

    3. Chevy

    4. Dodge

    5. Totya

    6. Nissan

  • @jnsleeper1 gm and chevy are the same thing lol

  • WEAK!

  • ford = Find On Russia Dump

  • Ford=Found on road dead.

  • no, its Fixed Or Repaired Daily

  • like the sierra back seat space better almost flat surface under the seat so more storage in the back seat then dodge

  • coil spring FAIL...the whole purpose of a pickup truck is for the bed and be able to carry heavy loads...the leaf springs may be dated but they distribute the weight evenly across the bed unlike the springs...

practicality is snubbed for comfort on a truck?....FAIL

  • @jblackapple Agreed, coil springs have FAR less weight bearing ability than leaf springs do. If you want a smooth ride, buy a fucking car.

  • currently there are no plans for an SRT10 model but i guess there is a good chance that there will be a special series srt10 base later on, now wouldn't be wise with all the troubles going on.

  • the old Ram SRT10 was awesome. i hope they build a new Ram SRT 10 series. it would be awesome.

  • This is hilarious, i work at the Toyota Plant in Cambridge, Canada...at 41 sec. in the video, that's Ray Tanguay, our company president! He looks concerned, I see the Toyota booth is right beside the Dodge booth.

Lol, I just ordered an 09 Ram, may come in as a 2010...can't wait, awesome truck!

  • lol Toyota sucks ass at building trucks man, Dodge has always been better with the Ram and the Dakota, period. GM and Ford suck ass too.

  • umm gm and ford are good buddy

  • dude my 2004 HEMi Ram 1500 tows more than a 2009 tundra, lol with that POS frame and bed flex with the tundra you can't tow shit! But my Ram is a beast and tows whatever I throw at it. I can barely tell Im towing anything its soo good.

  • So is the new dodge ram RT taking over production for the Ram srt 10 are they going to stop makin srt 10 ram and the RT is takin over for it or is it another sport truck in the dodge line up?????????????

  • they stopped the srt10 in06

  • so basically if you want a truck that looks nice, but doesn't want to get dirty, buy a Ram

  • ao basically if you want a truck that breaks down and can't tow anything, buy a Ford

  • Woohooo I just bought a dodge ram hemi 5.7 WHAT A BEAUTY...drives like a dream...cant beat this truck...hehehe

  • drivin chevy, for dodge toyota and nissan. Have to say the features in the dodge are much nicer. The chevy fit and finish are poor, needs work there. The ford was compairable although even with the wider leaf springs it rode rougher then th dodge. Nissan hasnt changed and now dodge might be makeing the nissans. Toyota was pretty close, by the main selling point was price. The nissan with it older body style was less, but even with rebates, the ford and chevy and toyota were way over priced.

  • The HD Ram 1500 tows the most out of any pickup truck, F150, Tundra, Nissan, an GM.

  • Daimler Benz spit out Chrysler and lost big bucks selling it to Cerebrus

lesson learned? buying junk is not a good investment

Fiat is now doing the same trying to tie up with Chrysler

    this ain't good for Fiat

  • They got out of the deal not because of the products they were makeing, but had law suit brought on by the man himself saying Benz under estimated there actually price, which in the industry is a nono. Basically said Chrysler was worth 6 billion but when audits were dont they were worth over that. Thats y they dumped them.

  • 2:03 But buyers want more payload capacity not ride quality. If you want ride quality get a sedan. Coil springs in a pickup? What a joke.

  • this is a light duty truck, Not ment for hauling trailers full of bricks or beds full of stone. It is a light duty platform. Ment for they guy who has a show car and hauls it 300 miles to a show. Or guys like me who have a camper and a boat and kids. Its a daily driver for sure, but for me, its cheaper to own one truck them a truck and a car.

  • this truck rides beautifully....I have absolutely no complaints :P

  • Why does he keep mentioning the Chev as the competitor for half ton? The F-150 is the class leader hands down! For 3/4 and one ton I would take the Dodge hands down, especially the Power wagon! The rest are princesses!

  • totally agree. the dodge with the 5.9L is awesome

  • You are one of the few that know your trucks too! The 5.9 is the best diesel hands down! Any diesel mechanic will tell you that.

  • lol thanx. ya a friend of the familys has an 03 with the 5.9 cummins in it and it gets 23 mpg! just on the EDGE system. granted the only downside is the 3spd auto tranny. other than that. damn good truck. my next rig will be a dodge 5.9 i wont do anything major. such as lift. it will be used for pulling/hauling

  • the 6.7 does get better MPG. Its all on how you drive. I have worked around 3500 chassis and regular bed trucks and as long as u dont drive like a dick, they get 23 MPG. It wouldnt have passed EPA TEIR standards if it only had one part of the puzzle. Nedded NOx reductions as well as MPG increase. And 03 didnt have speed. 03 had 6spd standard trans or 5spd auto. i know i got a 06 mega cab 2500 with a 5 speed. same trans and motor in a 03.

  • i have never seen an '03 with a 6spd auto, a 6spd manual, yes. but not auto. Car and Driver shows that the 6.7 gets 10mpg, ford 11mpg, and chevy 10mpg. If you would like i could get video of the family friend that has a 2003 5.9L with a 3liter that smokes alot of diesels with just an EDGE system

  • car and driver is gay. they dont know shit cad cant drive for shit

  • 5.9 is awesome, and dont think the 6.7 is a different motor. Same block, they just made the stroke of the piston longer, to make the cylinder size increase. 6.7 I just as bad ass and get way better fuel mileage.

  • what do you mean the 6.7 get better fuel milage? everyone that i know that has the 6.7 get 11mpg, the 5.9 they were getting up to 20mpg. 18 with a gooseneck horse trailer

  • its the emiission stuff. they pull 20 on the highway. i have one. if u get a dpf delet kit and a chip u can near 25 and have 650 hp and 1100 lf torque

  • the 6.7 is differenet. the block is bigger and more rigid. however 70 percent of it is the same. just the block is bigger and stringer

  • that makes the backseat look a lot smaller than it really is :(

  • DODGE Is the best at making trucks

  • YA THINK!

  • its 390 hp twit!

  • 380

  • I have a 2007 dodge 3/4 ton and a 1975 dodge 3/4 truck. and i like both the truck ; but i have to say that I dont like the look of the new truck it looks like a chev 1/2 ton but I like the beautiful interior....

  • the light duty (1500) will come with a cummins, the new cummins is gona be a 5.6L V8, its gona save more gas and ofcourse its gona be stronger

  • wow, what a huge DODGE BADGE at the tail gate!!!

its like the size of his(correspondent) palm.

i own an older ram and the badges were just 2-3 inches wide/thick

  • Stunning Truck. Host is a moron. "Light Duty" will come with a Cummins? That Makes a whole lot of sense, right?

  • Yes jackass A Cummins Turbo Diesel. now the only unconfirmed item is the displacement. it's going be either a 5.6 or a 5.0. But myself like other dodge diesel guys are thinking is it's going to be a V8 instead of a inline 6. There is also going to be a 4.2 V6 diesel that will be used in the suvs and sedans. (the sedan part is just wishful thinking but I think a diesel charger maybe pretty kool.

  • I say fuck fuel efficiency, im willing to pay the extra money to drive a truck and continue feeling good to be alive. Im not going to settle for a car and then look and feel like a douche driving one around. Just my opinion.

  • yeah me too man. it costs me $100+ for every refill but it does not matter, im happy with my truck and it represents me. i have smaller cars but i still feel(safer) different driving a truck. Though its NOT fuel efficient, its certainly WORK EFFICIENT all the way...

  • dodge also made the first extended cab in 1973

  • 7/10

  • I love this interior! It's beautiful. At least for a pickup... It becomes important when you realise that most time you're gonna spend in proximity to the truck is when you're inside, driving it.

  • BITCHIN TRUCK

  • Don't like the way the Front grill leans forward, makes the truck look like its falling over.

  • With the copying of diesel engines the auto mfg's don't catch wind of a diesel being in a 1/2ton from ford and push there own out the door the next week. R&D takes time, it's been in the works for probably a couple years by all mfgs. Also, a V10 was oftered in the rams as early as 95 I believe as an 8.0L. Same block as the viper, obviously detuned. Had like 300hp, good for the day, everyone thought it was crazy, now we have trucks with half the motor puttin out the same HP!

  • By the way, max weights are when properly equipt. ie Reg cab 2x4.Unless that's what you drive you aren't capable of 11k towing. Tundra's a true 1/2 & 3/4 ton.Their payload is about 1,000+ and 1,500+ lbs.But it can pull a heavier trailer than the dodge.Okay, so no tounge weight now!?Lower payload, more towing. The weights either behind or in the truck.10 years ago 3/4 were the 1/2 of today. Now we whine of 1/2 ONLY towing 10k. Get real! 1/2 aren't really designed to pull 10k all day, buy bigger..

  • dramman1: couldnt agree more, if people care so much about towing 11,000 then go buy a diesel...problem solved. i'm glad dodge switched to a rear coil set up, should be awesome!

  • Dodge has definately been a trend setter when it came to styling. Before the 94 rams came out, most trucks were just trucks, basic necessities and very little in styling or configurations. When dodge restyled the rams in 94 it started what trucks are today with plush interiors, gizzmo's and gadgets, all that stuff. Sure, it's been copied and outdone by them all, but thanks to dodge, they started to give trucks style inside and out and still do. It continues with the 09's. All mfg have firsts

  • I was hesitant when dodge switched the front axels from a staight to independant on the 1/2tons in 02. Then I bought one and realized what a better ride it was. Now, most magazines have done nothing but praise the "long overdue" coil suspension in the rear for half tons. I'm for it. I don't use my truck like a construction truck. It's hardly pulling anything. That's why I have a 1/2. If I were doing more, I'd buy bigger cause that's why they make "Heavy Duty" trucks!! Duhh!!!

  • if your not pulling anything with it, get a car!!! rather than having a gas guzzling piece of crap.

  • dude trucks arent ONLY made for pulling stuff. you cant go offroad in a car can you? plus the new ram still tows 9100, which is plenty..any more than that you should get a diesel. just out of curiosity what do you drive? and whats the most you have towed? i'd be willing to bet you've never pulled more than 9000...

  • There have been first for every mfg. I know dodges best since that's what I drive so I could write a novel on the firsts for Dodge, side airbags, hydroform frame in a truck, quad cab, underseat storage bins, mds, 20's, etc. all which seem to be standard equip. now on all brands. And for towing, at what point does a 1/2ton truck stop becoming a 1/2ton. In 10years is everyone going to expect 1/2tons to pull a GCVW of 26,000? I'd upgrade to a 3/4 or better if I were going to pull 10k or better.

  • i am glad to see that dodge aint making these wimpy suv's like ford is. chevy is starting to go south. i like dodge's suv's because because they are american made and have bad 4x4's in them. i like toyota because they are keeping the traditional suv standard, but they ain't initialy american cars.

  • Allow to me throw my two cents in here. First never ever ever ever buy a first year new vehicle of any brand it will have issues. Second they are all about the same Ford, Dodge, Chevy. The only thing different is the nameplate. Dodge is renowned for transmission problems from my personal experience its due to lack of maintenance. Ford simply horrendous to work on and usually have electrical issues. Chevy the check engine light comes on all the damn time.

  • dont buy because it looks great, I did on 02 same color sport package and all 9 transmissions two rear ends swapped, full brake system----booster,abs,lines,rotors,calipers,master cylinder. replaced cracked dashes. the reliability of the motor is great and mileage is too. the rest of my truck just doesn't hold up.. bought new in o2 spent extra 10k= fixing it's problems not under warranty. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE YOU BUY CAUSE IT LOOKS COOL only 136,000 miles on it. good luck

  • yes its true they all do copy off eachother, but dodge copies the most. the problem with dodge is that they come out with ideas soo late, like in the 2009 model it just came out with signals on the mirrors, chevy had that since 2003. they all copy cuz they have too ,but dodge does it so late that no-one cares anymore. but tell me why dodge has all that power and no towing to go with it, like come on 9,100 with basically a 2500 engine in it,the chevy 5.3 has ALOT ALOT less power and tows the same

  • hey vortexmax if your such a chevy fan why u looking at dodge vids ??? damn chevy fans

  • Hie. I'm a Chevy fan also...

But engine size and towing ability have no connection. It's the size of the breaks to stop a total load... It's car+cargo+trailer.

  • ya i no but still, every half ton so far can do 10,000plus and dodge 9,100 and thats with the 2 rd the 4 door is like 8,600 WOW ya dodge u have a winner on ur hands

  • Dodge has made a great move here in my opinion. Old dodges used to ride like tanks but the new generation has been created with thought to ride comfort at the cost of max towing ability. Dodge simply said let the three- quarter ton plus HD models handle the load while you enjoy a smoother road. If all this keeps going up HD's will either be obsolete, incorporated into half tons as the same truck or be soo powerfull will replace bulldozers. Just my 2 cents

  • it has a lot to do with how much the leaf springs can hold

  • dodge does copy the most. ford decides to put a diesel engine in the 150, so dodge has to put a diesel in the 1500.

  • i already informed you that nissan was the first to come up with the idea of a diesel half ton. and dramman1 made a GREAT point...how about all the firsts for dodge? 20 inch rims on a truck? mds engines? hydroformed frame? quadcab? heated and cooled seats? heated steering wheel? factory dual exhaust? seems like dodge has more industry firsts that are and will eventually be COPIED by FORD etc..give it up man...ford is not as good of a brand as you think

  • what about back-up sensors, automatic diming rear view mirror, spring loaded tail gate, sliding rear window, subwoofer, a triflex supercharged v10 engine, and the best in class towing compacity? Firsts for ford, that will eventually be copied by dodge.

  • dodge has offered a dimming rearview mirror since 2003 in the trucks, maybe earlier bc they had them in the 1st gen durangos. nissan made a factory spring loaded tailgate in the titan, at same time as ford released the 04 f150, sliding rear windows have been around for forever and my ram has one. and the triflex v-10 was a concept run on hydrogen and never produced...plus dodge also had a v-10 engine available in the 2002-2003 3nd gen rams and some late model 2nd gens and itwasnt the srt10 motor

  • ford was also the first to make factory dual air bags.

  • Dodge was the first to have side impact airbags!! I thought it was so funny a few years ago on the last ford redesign at a car show the ford guy was telling me how they were the first to have power windows in the back seat, uhhh my ram has them now I said, no, in an extended cab with suicide doors not full size doors, okay word it how you want to so it sounds like your first. Also said first hydro frame, uhh my dodge has that too, no, first for the F-150. again, word it so your the first.

  • ya dodge came up with that MDS cuz they had too, they have the worst engines for fuel economy. and chevy does have that cycinder shut-down thing, but atlease with chevy it shows it on a screen when your in V4 Mode or v8 Mode, dodge doesnt do that cuz they dont have the technology to do that. and dodge came out with air bags in a truck first cuz again they had too cuz their trucks wheren't good in accident, like chevy and ford, and they still dont have a 5 star rating,

  • VortecMax, dodge will have a full boxed frame soon enough. Dodge was the first with the MDS system on the Hemi engines and then chevy, chevy and ford put fully boxed frames and and so will dodge. They all cop off of one another. I am a Dodge and Chevy guy, I love both brands so I really don't get these other dudes in here that are all like dodge sucks and chevys rule, or fords rule and dodge sucks and all that BS. Children will be children I guess.

  • natep246 do some research idiot, dodge and chrysler are pioneers of quite a few technological advancements in the automotive industry. Who came up with MDS, hmmm I dont know.. oh yeah dodge did. Who copied that system and calls it "Active fuel management" instead, oh yeah Chevy. Who put the first airbags in pickup trucks? Oh yeah dodge did. Who copied dodge, all the other truck makers. It doesn't even matter in the end because they all copy off of eachother.

  • I hate stupid chevy and ford fanboys that come in and comment on a video of a truck that isn't even in production yet. Shut your mouths. If you don't like dodge then go watch videos of your own trucks. If you think dodges suck then why are you bothering yourself with watching dodge videos, isnt that kinda like watching porn when you have a girlfriend? Buying a vehicle is about buying what you want and like. I have nothin against chevy or ford, take your single minded brand loyalty elsewhere.

  • its funny cuz dodge had to put all this power in the new ram and it still tows 9,100 lbs, hey dodge no one needs 404 torque but they all need a fully boxed frame. my vortecmax has 367 hp and 375 torque and tows 10,500 lbs, the dodge has alot more and tows alot less WOW!

  • ya ok buddy, read the 2008 dodge ram book, at a local dodge dealership, and u'll prove yourself wrong. hey theres nothing a matter with dodge rams i like them its just, the your just driving trucks, if your buying one for payload and towing u have the wrong brand, and it cant tow more, dodge still uses the C frame and everyone else has fully boxed so u tell me which is stonger, fully boxed is. and this ram is just aa tundra with a dodge symbol.

  • lol vortecmax ur very very wrong! We tow alot more weight with our Rams than our Fords and Chevys. Weve tried towing the same amount of weight but the Chevys or Fords can't handle it!

  • i agree, dodge is just a driving truck, it has all that power and still only tows 9,100 lbs like come-on. its not a truck that you buy for towing or payload or work for that matter. my 2007 silverado half ton tows 300 lbs more then the dodge ram 3500 dually with the hemi, like come-on half ton vs. 1 ton WOW!!! i agre with you 110% dodge is always the last out of every auto maker, they copy everyone else's ideas.

  • yea its pretty much gay as shit...dodge took ideas from a bunch of other companys an put it into there truck...such as toyotas head lights...chevys back seat cargo an storage...but idk dodge has always been a pretty low company so its no surprise.

  • That is for the "Light Duty" RAM where can I see the HEAVY DUTY???. And also... I have a 2007 RAM and I liked the enormous front lights and they eliminated them. :(

  • my 97 ram is way more of a truck then this thing ever will be. Big dodge fan but this truck is a step in the wrong direction. Dodge has always been known for true strength in its trucks and now with this 09 it puts it in the same class as chevy and ford f150, these are not trucks, there play toys. Sadly, trucks will never be what they once were.

  • It looks a bit too much like a toyota, but it is probably better as far as sport trucks go. coils is all you need on a 1/2 ton, thats all avalanches, burbs, and tahoes have

  • Its looks pretty good, but i wonder if the back is really roomier. The rams now are more like extended cabs than crew cabs. Lets see if that new hemi is going to do good, cause the one that is out now sucks in the ram, doing good in the cars but doesnt do shit for the ram. The exahust look good though

  • uhh my 02 ram has covered underseat storage compartments. where did they find this guy

  • coils-springs on the rear is a step in the wrong direction!!!!! the floor-shifter is "what GM failed to do" with their trucks.overall i'm not sold on this "tundra-twin"

  • True! The ram, ford, titan, toyota has lots of competition with Chevy. I like everything from the ran except the front grill and I for sure now toyota tundras and Silverados are selling really fast.

  • This goes to the idiots that wrote the 3 previous posts: go get a real job and stop posting scam on comment sections. Losers.

  • i think the headlights look like the ones found in the 07 tundra

  • The whole new design kinda reminds me of an 05' F250

  • I really think they copied this design from the dodge charger with the angled front end. I guess it works for them.

  • Lose towing. MegaCab gone, so smaller than Tundra CrewMax

    Competitive otherwise
