Al Gore is a hyprocrite and an alarmist who is just trying to keep his name in the press. This jerked owned a Zinc mine that was cited more than any other mine for polutting rivers in Tennesse up until 2003. Gore is a disgrace. I guess when his censorship campaign failed in America he had to come up with something else.
Zoe Williams is a standard issue feminist/leftish column writer for the Guardian and she's not a very good writer at that. I don't agree with Hitchens on the global warming issue but he is a great writer.

And this argument Al Gore shouldn't travel is so wrong: Because he's aware of the danger the climate crisis causes, he should stay at home - wow! Great logic! Why inform other people? His campaign until know is very successful BECAUSE he's so active. Really that "expert" or whoever he is, is very very dull.

You dont know for instance that the founding editor of New Scientist and the world's NO1 expert on insect-transmitted disease and the three top experts on cyclical climate patterns and ice melt patterns dont believe global warming is man-made. the consensus is false and most of the ppl who proclaim it are hypocrites.
What does anyone have to gain by warning of global warming as opposed to huge corporations like BP that have everything to gain by discrediting global warming? We will all definitely have some expalaining to do when our grandchildren, 50 years from now, ask " why?"

that was good - i find al gore interesting but perhaps not always giving the best immediate advice to people. Switching to renewable energy is the biggest change you can make, and many cheap schemes already exist, as well as using ethical banks etc. On the whole though, I greatly respect what he is doing =)
