  • 冏了I'm hong kong

  • The 4kids opening was creepy, guess that's what happens when 4kids tries to rap... And the Japanese version of this song... I have to admit, it was pretty awful.

  • @cutecat2345 i agree, but did you also see the four kids where sanji has a lollipop instead of hee,s cigerette, and he spak moare french like, really, the english version that where NOT as greatly changed is the best version, my opinion that is :-)

  • @gunnerthedenmark Actually, in the 4kids version, Sanji has a lower Boston accent. I thought it was awful from the moment I heard it. I just hate the 4kids version!

  • @cutecat2345 then that makes 2 of us, and when your hear a frenchmen speaking english it sounds just like sanji from the four kids verion, atleast its how it is when its heard by a dane :-)

  • 37 people brought a compass by mistake

  • For me it's Funimation Opening > Japanese Opening > 4Kids Opening. Though I do like the 4Kids opening.

  • is it me or does the singer sounds sarcastic... :P

  • original version is better but i think that deutch version is much better than english(that is my opinion)

  • Hmm... i like the 4kids version more....

  • yay vic mignogna singing...i'm not a fan boy!!!

  • 37 people work for 4Kids.

  • I like it its just . . .

    I LOVE THE JAPANESE VERSION BETTER T . T

  • @tvyothefuture I think the japanese version sucks i like this version a whole lot better it's one of my favourites, so if you don't like it then don't watch it jackass

  • I hate dubs more than ANYTHING. But i love this song AND its japanese counterpart.

  • my most fav dubbed anime song

  • I'd love to thank whoever made this, for making an excellent adaptation true the original, unlike.... that other one.

  • this...is better than the 4kids dub

  • Obviusly 36 people wont stand by me =l

  • Wow, Vic is doing a pretty good job here. :0 Heck, why didn't they do an English version of Kenichi's opening? I would have loved Vic to sing it in his Kensei Ma voice. xD

...I wish I could hear Max Alto sing this. He's a singer and voice actor at the same time. Seriously, just look for the English version of "Change the World" from Inuyasha.

  • ...But I gotta say his last "We are" was entirely too soft. Looks like "energetic" songs are hard for him. :\

  • This sucks..

  • Thank you for the Opening! (:

  • Vic Piñata?

  • I just don't understand why they used the "4kids" version in T.V, i mean seriusly this one is 10 times better, the other one sounds like a Bad Beat Pirated Intro Shit, not even kid like, this one actually HAS A MEANING.

  • 4 KIDS VERSION SUCKED

  • fuck u ,, japanese ver is the best >:d

  • isn't the guy singing this the same guy who voices edward elric from FMA?!

  • This track is some heavy shit !!!!

  • Why didn't he just say he left everything he owned in one piece? The show isn't called "One place"

  • Wow, that was actually a really good adaptation. I thought after the 4Kids debacle that a good english version of this was impossible

  • /watch?v=Ja3B_5eFt8A

  • ow................nice opening hehehe

  • Japanese>>>>Funimation>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>4Kids

  • Japanese>>Funimation>>>>>4Kids

  • Japanese

  • This english verison is actually quite good but still nothing can beat the japanese version :D

  • Comparing this with the 4Kids version is like comparing a goldbar with a dog turd. An ice cream with frozen piss. Rise Against with the Jonas Brothers. One Piece with Bleach. I could go on...

  • @Xenodude2000 come one bleach isn't bad by any means...

  • @Xenodude2000 One Piece with Naruto*

  • @BlazingNetwork hmmmnnn perhaps a little harsh, that would be like comparing a gold bar with a rock, the rock isn't as good, but it can still be useful =P

  • @Xenodude2000 same with the japanese to this though.

  • cool i saw pandaman attacking zoro

  • The Openign is pretty Awesome, but the dubbing is just as horrible as 4kids. It doesn't matter what company it is, the English Dubs on all anime series are all horrible. There's no reason for you to like Anime if you don't love Japanese.

    どうかこれを憎悪ではなく、奨励として受け入れてください!

  • @lastXIII the dubbing is much better than ur jap shit!

  • @stanleythedoogle I would rather watch it mute without Subs then watch that horrible Dub.

  • @lastXIII i don't dislike Japanese people, i just dislike listening to a language that i don't even understand when compared to my own language. anyways, the other reason which i have already mentioned is that the English has more variety imo.

  • @stanleythedoogle Erm the shows japanese so in that sense you shouldn't even watch it cause it's "shit"

  • @lastXIII i meant the voices, the plot and characters are ok.

  • @stanleythedoogle Yea, the English Voices are horrible.

  • @lastXIII the japanese voices have no variety whatsoever other than luffy's screachy and annoying voice, while the english voices are humerous and diverse but luffy's voice is not perfect.

  • @stanleythedoogle The English Voice Actors are terrible at voice acting, the voices doesn't fit the Character at all, it seriously disgusts me that they would mess up a anime that much as they did. That's my thoughts of all Dubbed Animes.

  • @lastXIII Your thoughts on if they fit their characters or if they are bad at acting is your opinion. in my opinion the Japanese voices are bland and for the most part, lack variety.

  • @stanleythedoogle I am serious now, I don't think people should watch Animes if they don't love Japan and Japanese. I don't see the point.

  • @lastXIII Seriously?...Omg. xD You're an idiot. Anime such as Pokemon and Yugioh are shown on the kid's tv channels after they we're brought from Japanese television. So by your logic, all the children who watch these shows have to love Japan, a country I'm sure a large number of Children have very limited knowledge on.

    Good job man.

  • @Venix94YT The point of the comment is that you should only watch Anime in Japanese otherwise there's no reason to watch it. When it's Dubbed I can no longer call it an Anime, so they're not watching Anime in my opinion.

  • @lastXIII The point of the comment was ignorant and overall...well...stupid. If you want to get all technical about it you should call all anime "Animation" or "Cartoon". The reason we refer to it as anime as the Japanese do is simply so we can refer and signify that it is originally Japanese oriented. If it has English voice actors, then suddenly it stops being anime? Remember, anime means "animation". The voices don't influence the animation style of the show. It may be your opinion...

  • @Venix94YT Exactly "Anime", it's no longer an anime if it's in English. They rarely just Dub the anime, most of the time they cencor and delete ALOT of stuff. We're clearly on the same side here.

  • @lastXIII It's still the same show though, with the same method of animation originating from Japan which would be referred to as "Anime" when considering genre of animation. It's still anime, but you seem to think that it's language is what determines what genre a series is. And to my knowledge, the only people who censor too far is 4kids. Funimation on the other hand do a fine job in translation, despite changing a few things since Japanese censorship is a lot lighter. It's still anime.

  • @Venix94YT Of course I know that it's still called an Anime. I'm just saying it like that to defend the Perfect Japanese Anime, in my converstaion with the Eng Vs Jap.

  • @lastXIII Heh, changed your mind I see. Yes it "is" still anime. I personally like both English and Japanese One Piece (excluding 4Kids) so I don't let it bother me over which is "better" since different audiences prefer different versions. Some people may want to follow the original storyline completely from the original, and some people may want to follow the show in their own language, sacrificing a few minor details and aspects of the original in order to feel more involved language wise.

  • @Venix94YT I didn't change my mind, you misunderstood. They're sacrificing like 80% of the Show.

  • @lastXIII And 80% of the show? I really fail to see how 80% is lost. They're sticking to the storyline pretty strongly if you ask me.

  • @Venix94YT Some Animes are only Dubbed 20%. But when it comes to storyline it would be like 50%.

  • @lastXIII Explain.. You're really not clear on what you're saying. You're just throwing numbers at me.

  • @Venix94YT If an Anime has 50 Episodes, it's sometimes just Dubbed to Ep 20. Ok, maybe not that much with the story but definitely the dialogs are usually completely diffrent.

  • @lastXIII "Sometimes", not all the time. You can't make a generalisation of an entire franchise over "sometimes". One Piece is still going with Funimation, along with Naruto and Bleach I believe. And they often change some of the dialogue as there may be certain jokes only the Japanese would understand. And to be honest, who cares if some of the dialogue is changed? It's the same story, same scenes, same characters... You can't choose a language over another based on dialogue of the characters.

  • @Venix94YT No that's exactly why. If someone says; "This is so cool" the Dub goes; "Wow, rap is awesome". The horrible Dubbing is what makes me disrespect it.

  • @lastXIII For the most part I don't see it. With 4kids I agree, but for Funimation I really don't see it. Especially Bleach, I haven't seen anything remotely corny in that show because it's based for an older audience, while One Piece and Naruto remain for the slightly younger viewers. Remember that in Japan the censorship on TV is a lot less strict, so they can get away with "Japanese Cussing" on kids TV. A lot of the time, english dubbers don't have much choice in what they are allowed to say.

  • @Venix94YT Precisely, that's why they suck.

  • @lastXIII You can't blame the show for that..Blame the FCC and all those censorship companies.

  • @Venix94YT It's their fault for creating them in the first place.

  • @lastXIII Who's "thier"? FCC? Or the original animators?...Or even Eiichiro Oda? And it isn't a fault really despite who you're talking about. It's made, simple as. Nothing you can do about it. Some people like it and some prefer originals. Nothing can really potentially "suck" if it has fans.

  • @Venix94YT "Their"as in FUNimation etc. They Suck if you ask me, which you did.

  • @lastXIII I have no problem with them. I think they did a great job on the dub.

  • @Venix94YT To me, every sentence is like torture.

  • @lastXIII i like the dub, granted no were near as good as the japanese vertion but still good

  • @lastXIII But it is invalid.

  • @lastXIII Hey, jackass I don't love Japan, I'm sure it's a lovely country but it has no significance to me but I still watch One Piece, not because I love Japan but becausee I love One Piece. What you just said is like saying "Anyone who watches Family Guy have to love America", get a clue, people watch a show because they enjoy the show not because they adore the country it's from.

  • @JacobLetsPlays I said Japanese, if you don't love Japan that's understandable but there's no reason for you to watch any Anime if you don't love Japanese.

  • @lastXIII I don't love Japanese, I love One Piece and that's why I watch it.

  • @JacobLetsPlays I hope you atleast like Japanese, because if not it's like saying, "I like food but I don't like eating".

  • @lastXIII I don't like it, I don't dislike it it's just another language and it has nothing to do with why I enjoy One Piece.

  • @JacobLetsPlays That doesn't make any sense.

  • @lastXIII Well you clearly have the IQ of a cucumber so allow me to explain. I love One Piece for it's sence of humour, the characters, the story, the battles and the creative settings, it doesn't matter what language they're speaking as long as it has all these great aspects in it I'll love.

  • @JacobLetsPlays That's actually impossible, to not have any positive feelings towards the language of one of your favourite shows.

  • @lastXIII It's not that I dislike the language it's that the language is not a reason why I like it.

  • @JacobLetsPlays Not One Piece but ovarall Anime. Japanese is a reason why it's awesome,

  • @lastXIII Well in all honesty One Piece is the only anime that's kept my interest, but if you like it for the Japanese good for you but it's not impossible for liking Anime for other reasons.

  • @JacobLetsPlays I'm not saying that it's just Japanese that makes it awesome.

  • @lastXIII I'm aware but for everyone else it isn't even a factor as to why it is such a great series, if anything I prefer the English version, sure the voices aren't quite as good (yet still great) but I prefer the version that I can actually understand, I only watch the Japanese version to keep up to date with the series.

  • @JacobLetsPlays Please don't make me start talking about the English version. Why didn't you just say that from the beginning, that you prefer the Eng-Ver, it explains everything.

  • @lastXIII Because I love watching the Japanese version as well and I have friends who do too and none of them think the language is one of the reasons why it's so great.

  • @JacobLetsPlays You don't have to say anything more, I understand now.

  • @lastXIII Oh believe me I understand you completely from reading your past comments, you ignorant fuck.

  • @JacobLetsPlays Wait, what? You are clearly not a, what I would call a real Anime Fan, so it's obvious that you're saying what you are saying.

  • @lastXIII Well no as I've already said One Piece is the only anime that has kept my interest so maybe I'm not a "real anime fan" but that doesn't make you any less of an ignorant weeaboo.

  • @JacobLetsPlays How am I ignorant? All I've done is stating facts.

  • @lastXIII Wow.I have never spoken to anybody as arrogant as you in my entire life. Saying "If you don't love Japanese then you don't love anime" is not a fact, it is an opinion.

  • @JacobLetsPlays No, you can't truly love Anime if you don't love Japanese.

  • @lastXIII Why? It's like saying you can't love South Park if you don't love the English language, I understand why someone would like the Japanese language but to say that it effects everyone's opinion is just ridiculous.

  • @JacobLetsPlays Because the language is the key. Talking, you know, without conversations it wouldn't work. You can't just ignore the language and say that you don't care about it.

  • @lastXIII Yes I can because it's the subtitles are what I'm paying attention to, the language is for Japanese audiences who can understand it and they don't LOVE the language like you seem to so why should it be different for us?

  • @JacobLetsPlays One of the reasons I watch Anime in the frst place is to learn Japanese, because it's the best language in the world. I sometimes don't even read the Subtitles.

  • @lastXIII take your arguments some were else, your cloging up this otherwise clean page

  • @23045678 It just ended, you just made it bigger.

  • @lastXIII What would you call a real anime fan?

  • @GleekLantern49 Someone that's seen atleast 3 diffrent series and only watches the Original.

  • @lastXIII wlel i would call a real anime fan one who watches a variety of anime not just hords one, that's no anime fan that's just a fan of that particular series

  • @23045678 With Original I ment Japanese.

  • @lastXIII oh sorry i thought you ment the orginal that said person watched

  • @lastXIII

Stop being a dick, just because you state you're opinion doesn't make it a fact.

  • @TheChillyAcademicIV It's not my opinion it's a obvious fact, as stated,

  • @lastXIII

Someone needs to learn the difference between facts and opinions, The Plot, Characters ect is what makes Anime/Manga great.

  • @TheChillyAcademicIV I never talked about that, I said that it's a fact that you like the language of one of your favourite TV sereis.

  • @lastXIII

You're saying that FUNimation is no different to 4Kids (HA!, one company cares about the fans the other doesn't). And you're also saying you HAVE to love Japan and Japanese to like Anime, that is the stupidest thing i've ever heard.

  • @TheChillyAcademicIV The whole conversation was about the Japanese not the companies. Yes you have to at least 'like' the language, that's what I said, and it's true.

  • @lastXIII

You don't have to like Japan and the language to like Anime, that's silliness.

  • @TheChillyAcademicIV That's what the whole argument with the other guy was about.

  • @lastXIII

I know and im agreeing with him.

  • @TheChillyAcademicIV Read the whole argument.

  • @lastXIII

I did and you're shocked that the guy isn't bothered in what language it is in. He watches it for the Characters, Plot ect and i agree with him.

  • @TheChillyAcademicIV -Because he prefered the English Dub which I didn't know unitl the end. When I say that you have to like japanese I obviously mean the people that watch the original.

  • @lastXIII

He said he watches the Japanese dub also to keep uptodate with One Piece, he just prefers the english dub.

  • @TheChillyAcademicIV Yes, exactly. That's why the argument no longer went on.

  • @lastXIII

What im getting at is why did you make a huge fuss over it, you dont HAVE to like Japan/Japanese to like OnePiece/Naruto or whatever.

At FUNimation no different than 4Kids?, 4Kids cut whole arcs and censored everything even stuff that wasn't inapproriate. Go compare the differences between both companies before you make such a bold statement.

  • @TheChillyAcademicIV I'm saying that you have to like Japanese if you love Anime, and with anime I mean the original version of the anime. And when I say that FUNimation is no diffrent from 4Kids, I mean that they both suck at voice acting, and that they're both making the anime series worse then what they really are, because they're getting dubbed.

  • @lastXIII

There's also the argument that the Anime is ruining the Manga by cutting and omitting scenes, all this is your opinion and doesn't make any facts.

  • @TheChillyAcademicIV The main argument was about the interest of the language, not the companies or the manga. And that argument is an obvious fact.

  • @lastXIII

So its a fact that you HAVE to like Japanese in order to watch Anime?, Like the other guy says he only watches the newest episodes in Japanese so he can keep up with the story.

  • @TheChillyAcademicIV No, I'm saying that if you're an anime fan, someone who watches Japanese Anime like 2 times a day, has positive feelings for japanese.

  • @lastXIII

You're an idiot, It doesn't matter what language Anime is in its upto the person to decide whether they watch it in Subs/Dubs, Anime is Anime no matter if it's dubbed or subbed. You're basicaly saying you can't be a an Anime fan if you dont watch it in Japanese and scream like a fan girl over it.

  • @TheChillyAcademicIV You're misunderstanding this whole thing, you're thinking the other way around.

  • @lastXIII

Stop changing your story, Ive read the entire argument you keep saying that you have to like Japan and the language to like Anime.

  • @TheChillyAcademicIV No serisouly, you've been misunderstanding this whole thing. I think it was the same deal the with the other dude.

  • LOVE IT!!!!

  • One can only wonder how 4Kids could fuck up this intro so profoundly when funimation just added english lyrics.

  • I don't care what anyone says I watch English dubs because I can understand :/ it sucks reading sub titles at the bottom rather than watching the picture and the Japanese voices sound squeaky anyway I think the funimation voice actors are brilliant!

  • @Rhodezify Erm is it really hard to absorb text and pic all at once? my friend has the same problem but me and my partner catch everything going on while still reading.

  • Love this show.

  • It's good song....but I hate how sorta sounds like it cuts off in the end.

    "WE are..."

  • Funimation,Bandai>4kids

  • If I was gold roger i'd just say that i'd put everything in one place just for fun haha

  • i actually think this song was used much better as an in episode song, like when they are getting to skypiea via the water fountain thing, i thought it was really effective there

  • oh come on guys stop complaining about the dub! Vic Mignogna is a really good singer. Maybe his voice doesn't suit energetic songs like this. He is really great at singing calm songs and ballads. I have two of his cds and his romantic songs are so great!

He may not be as awesome as some japanese singers, but he is quite good. Yeah, i AM trying to defend Vic Mignogna. If you dislike it, fine, listen to the japanese version.^^

    But be nice, kay?^_^'

  • 32 people work for 4Kids

  • @lollmao5 would be kinda funny if people who work for 4Kids actually sang this XD

  • @lollmao5 35

  • For some reason the vocalist for the english version of We Are sounds similar to the english vocalist of "That's Paradise" from Rythmn Heaven...

  • @messybones Except this seems more high pitched now that I compare them

  • This song is now IN MY HEAD!!! :L

  • Man ... everytime I watch some OP vids with eng dub on YouTube everyone in the comment section is just talking about how bad the dub is. I mean I sure prefer the japanese dub, too, but it kinda makes me feel like NOBODY is actually used to hear this series in english! I mean the german dub sucks, too (compared to the original), but nobody is talking bad about it. So it kinda seems like nobody is actually watching this in english. And I actually don't really think the FUNimation dub is sooo bad.

  • If it weren't for Disney, FUNi would be my favourite dubbing studio.

  • Even though this was the first one I saw it feels so weird hearing this after hearing the show in Japanese for so long. This sounds... cheerier

  • @JacobTails123 watch?v=yNbPrlUYzzo

  • !..! !..! |_^_^_|

  • JUSTLIKEIKNOWYOU'LLSTANDBYME!

    soul~

  • What I meant was it's nice that funimation now a great dubbing company badly mutilated dragonballz and dragonball like 4craps did with one piece but funimation got a hell of a lot better after dragonballz and it's good to see it in their hands now.

  • It's ironic that funimation like 4kids badly mutilated dragonballz and dragonball but when they got a few more animes they got away from that quickly and became a really good dubbing company, good to see they did onepiece justice unlike 4craps.

  • The japanese intro is much better :p

  • "Now you just have to find it" 0:15 SOUNDS LIKE MR KRABBS!!

but this opening is as good as the original and much better than the 4kids

My favorite part is the beggining: "Where the end of the map reveals...-until- .... I'll be there to stand by you."

  • congrats to Funimation for making this opening likable not as good as the original, but it's not far from it ^^,

  • Thank you Funimation for trying your best to revive what 4kids shitted all over. I hope all goes well for DubPiece.

  • This is definitely very good compared to the 4Kids one. Who is the singer ?

  • @PS2kid

Vic Mignogna sung the song (=

  • Amazing. Almost as good as the original.

  • Maybe it's because the 4kids version traumatized me but this actually sounds kinda good. Close enough too the original lyrics, same melody and everything. Only thing that bothers me is that they removed the sound effects during the fight.

  • how near to the original can you get

  • I actually prefer this to the original.

  • This is way better then the 4kids version (they didn't even make a version)

  • Does anyone have a download link tho this version of the song?

  • Very shocked

    Funi did Rock the Dragon

    this opening was too japanese

    i wanted more a 90's rock opening
