@Clonejks In Chinese, there's a phrase be literally translated into "1000 words", means "someone wants to tell a lot of things to the other one, but he or she can't".
@Crothonora keep trying you'll get it, sometimes I get tired of practicing and start bashing my head into the keys and it scares the cat.. but doubt opens the possibility of failure...
and I've learned that it's really not that good for a piano if you bash your face into it anyway..ouch lol
@futb0l4eva people who were waiting for the release of x-2 were likely expecting and hoping for an actual second ffx; a game with crazy story lines and unimaginable twists and similiar gameplay. that's the same with really any final fantasy game really; they're known for their epic storylines. So X-2 wasn't what people were expecting and didn't meet the high bar that was set. that's one theory for you.
for me, i still think it's good but i was really disappointed in it
@squellys I agree with you about why other people didn't like it, but I thought it reached a different bar instead of the one that was set for it. It's definitely different, but not in a bad way. I really like it -- almost as much as X. I think people should just be open to things and not dismiss them if they're not what they expected. Also, at least it wasn't as disappointing as FFXIII, right? That one is SO boring.
@Kpatable i think you're confusing XIII with XII, FFXIII was a sweet game, sure the combat was a little dull but the story kept you in the game, FFXII however had dull, MMORPG like combat, they removed the most fun part out of the combat system, the MMO part, and Vaan is just craptastic
@renardo3333 No, I definitely meant XIII. While FFXII's story was horrendous and virtually nonexistent, it's gameplay was deep and strategical and complex and interesting, which kept me playing it. XIII, however, had really boring, repetitive gameplay. Of the 10 or so hours I played of XIII, I don't remember any exploring at all. And the story did not keep me engaged. X was the peak of Square's amazingness :[ I agree that Vaan was craptastic, though.
@renardo3333 But the gambits were really fun! That's what made it strategic. You got to set up your own squad of fighters however you wanted, and then you unleashed them onto the enemies and hoped they didn't die. Then, if it sucked, you tweaked it until it didn't suck anymore. I like that kind of micromanagement, so yeah :P

@Kpatable the combat in FFX and the FF's before that was strategic, FFXII was one player MMO combat, which sucks fat balls

@Kpatable basically final fantasy tactics only you set up what they do beforehand.
renardo3333 6 months ago
@renardo3333 I guess... but you also get to explore vast worlds, which is fun.
