The diminished stuff from 50-56 was a cheesy lead in to that major chord, but other than that, I liked it a lot. The playing was technically accurate and all the notes were there, but the emotion is in the contrast, particularly in dynamics. I hear loud, really loud, and ridiculously loud, but considering the quality of the rest of the performance I'm sure you could improve that extremely quickly. Best of luck.
dude - i really appreciate the indepth feedback. that particular diminished run you are referring to was a fun discovery and it's application (i thought) was appropriate for the resolution. one thing to note is that the resolution itself continues to remain dissonant. the diminished run upward (0:48) and the continued diminished/minor downward progression afterward take the listener on a ride finally landing at 1:40. these are original ideas that take you out of the box. thanks 4 listening.
@delpuckett : It's an appropriate resolution for sure, and, to me at least, it's kind of a cheap shortcut to arrive at the change in tonality. Lots of extremely accomplished musicians use it though, so it's not really hurting you, but that whole area of guitar playing is overused these days. I liked the downward progression with the dim/min stuff, I hear a lot of 7ths in there? I suggest a similar approach in the ascending run. There are a lot of awesome dim - madd9 - M progressions out there.
ur obviously a well educated musician for sure. tell me... where have you heard my particular Dim uphill run?? i'd love to hear a similiar application. thanks
baaaad dude! in the shower even. good harmonics i hear. windows movie maker is ok but give me a hollar and i'll hook you up with magix movie edit pro12. lots of cool features.

Agreed. These sound like some of the best acoustics I've heard on one of Del's songs. Really magnifies the song. Love it.
