  • that looks so funny xDD

  • please bring the complete series to dvd.

  • @nerv4ever It came out in the late 70's about 1978. In the comics Mary Jane was introduced in 1966, Gwen Stacy who had been introduced in 1965 was killed by The Green Goblin in 1973. Neither of those characters were ever introduced to this 1970s TV series. The series went out of it's way to avoid bringing any of the classic comic characters, Peter's girlfriends, classic Spidey villains etc. I think they didn't want to get tied down to continuity & they didn't have the budget for say Doc Ock etc.

  • better than spiderman 3

  • PLEASE type in GREEN LANTERN TE ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY it s the true story of how GEORGE LUCAS sent off duty CIA agents to threaten my Mother with guns PLEASE check it out thanks

  • i love 70s

  • 1:46 - looks like Ivor Francis from "Dusty's Trail" (and Genie Francis' dad) getting attacked by Spidey...

  • LOL HILARIOUS!

  • They used a real person and even used a real lion to film one episode not a guy in a costume like the Wizard of Oz lion or a cgi lion like in the Chronicles of narnia, Wonder Woman used a guy in a gorrilla suit for Gargantua, and Little House on the prarrie used a guy in a bear suit, although I heard The Waltons also had an episode with a real bear.

  • reminds me off a martial arts movie

  • It makes me laugh LOL

  • This show sucked then and it still sucks now XD

  • "The world's favorite comicbook hero,

followed by eighty four million readers a year, Now he comes ALIVE!"

and those same readers laugh their asses off before the first commercial

and then change the channel to watch The Six Million Dollar Man and Star Trek reruns.

  • Dumbest thing I have ever seen ... and only a genuine Nerd Geek and Dork will be a fan of this shit............................Losers.

Your Dorky personalities are as pathetic as the stunts in this stupid Spiderman.

  • @MuskateerGripWeed Beats Spiderman 3 though.

  • @sglasspool Well I must say I do agree .................... perhaps this guy can reprise his role as Senior Citizen Peter Parker, fighting crime , the Flu and osteoperosis.....................

  • @MuskateerGripWeed Wilford Brimley is Spiderman! Fighting his arch-nemisis, DIE-BEETUS!

  • i agree, those were state of the art effects at the time

  • I laughed all through out the entire thing. It's funny. I actually saw this on a local channel in the year 2001 I believe...

  • Spider-Groove

  • thumbs up if you googled to find this movie after listing to the YoGPoD

  • Not just hypnotized..."mysteriously hypnotized!"

  • lol at the web

  • made one year after i was born. For the effects that were around at that time it was pretty good.

  • I bet when this first came out people had heart attacks and grown men squeeled.

  • Why didn't they get a Kong Fu fighter to act him ?

didn't they know something called fast moves ?

  • I wonder if that image of the comic in the beginning of the trailer is a real comic?

  • Well, the costume has certainly improved from this start, bit of a sag problem there old boy ? !

  • This can be taken as a great parody on the 2011

  • oi sou a leila carvalho da cidade de leme sp brasileu gostei mas ele meio fraco mas para epoca era o maximo

  • i thought its a parody :-D

  • Thumbs up if you're watching this in 1970

  • Disco Spider Man

  • They didn't make Spiderman or Hulk as strong in the shows as in the comics because they were trying to make them more believable. What do you think they did with Batman begins, and the Dark Knight?

  • @hydrolito "They didn't make Spiderman or Hulk as strong as in the comics because they were trying to make them more believable. What do you think they did with Batman Begins and The Dark Knight?"

Uh we're talking about two characters who get their powers from an overdose of gamma radiation (something usually fatal) and a radioactive spider bite. I think suspension of belief is a key factor here. Sorry but I always find the subject of making superhero comics 'more realistic' kind of strange.

  • @cha5 In the comic Banner survives a bomb something intended to be very high dose and fatal, in the series they mentioned solar flares or something so gamma rays higher than norm but not to the extent of a bomb, the machine was more like an mri or xray machine than a bomb so controled dose.

  • Comment removed

  • @cha5 They were trying to make the show something adults might watch not just 5 year old okay. Super powers exist in the form of machines, Some jets can fly over 4 times the speed of sound, jet backs aren't that fast but jet packs actually exist similar to what was shown on Lost in Space tv show. Japanese built an exoskelton which translated into English is called ironman and might help paraplegic or quadrapligics do things they couldn't other wise do, signal belt is called a pager and some GPS

  • @hydrolito Okay fair enough :-)

  • Ninjas were popular because of Bruce Lee back then don't any modern kids know this stuff?

  • A team use to rerun the same plot, heroes get captured locked in a werehouse full of tools and build armour van or truck and break out. Bad Guys werealmost always horrible shots. This at least had different plotlines to it.

  • They used many of the villians from the comics for the Batman tv show but it was far goofier than this show was. They tried to make it more realistic to get adults to watch it. Sixmillion Dollarman and the Bionic Woman did very well with very few supervillians because they tried to make them realistic.

  • @hydrolito They did that with many shows like Captain America, Dr. Strange (a 70's TV movie) and even the black & white Superman show. Most likely because they didn't have the budget or technology to make the proper villains. Even 70's Japanese Spider-Man (though he had a 100 foot tall robot mecha he controlled)

  • This show had an episode where they used a real lion to film it, not cgi like Narnia, or a guy in a suit like the gorrilla in Wonder Woman. Also used a real bear to film an episode of the Walton's not all this cgi stuff that is fake.

  • Now that is how Spider-Man is supposed to look.

  • Was this a parody movie or something? :D

  • Dude, check out the bottom-right screen at 1:40

Did you see it? Its like a mini scene from the new trailer of "The Amazing Spider-Man"!!! Huh... Here I always thought it was "Mirrors Edge" that it was copying, but maybe it was actually a shout-out to this movie instead @_@

  • This was the shit in them days!

  • @Omnitrix8 It was low-budget then, lol.

  • @WarriorSmurf Actually for then it was high budget, the reason it was canceled it did okay in the rating but cost to much to produce, also one of the reasons helicopter shows were canceled such as Airwolf, Rip Tide, and Magnum P.I. Helicopters were expensive to operate. Need high rating to afford the cost of the helicopters and special effects.

  • @hydrolito Actually, I meant low budget when compared to Superman: The Motion Picture for example . Word is (at least one of the reasons, at least) CBS cancelled it was because they didn't want to become "The Superhero Network" (but was okay with being the Norman Lear Network, lol). One of the reasons the Incredible Hulk was cancelled was due to the time it took to apply the makeup to Lou Ferrigno which was said to cost alot also.

  • That was better than Spider-man 3

  • @ecks2013

    U must be on cracked

    n hope ur Joking around

  • @FiFaPro10 You have to admit that was pretty funny. And if this was on right now I bet you any amount of money you'd watch it, even if it sucked.

  • @ecks2013

Nah Man id rather watch 1970 porn

  • @FiFaPro10 70's porn was the best porn hands down.

  • how did they get him to stick to the ceiling? One could see a "rut" on the ceiling tiles but nothing hanging down nor attached to the character.

  • Don't you like how weak that web was when he shot it on those guys??

  • @TheRAMgamer The cobweb of mild annoyance/slight distraction, lol.

  • even when I did watch this when I was a kid, I thought it sucked. Wonder Woman was better, at least she was hot!

  • This wasnt a joke..but they tried!

  • Lol such rubbish

  • alright, seriously.....this is a joke right? :D

  • @thegripfreak101

    well no shit dumbass

  • @thegripfreak101 No i am watching this in 2337.

  • @thegripfreak101 Nope, it's 1997 where I am at, and we have some BADASS cartoons here! Have fun with watching Johnny Test and all that! I am too busy watching SWATKATZ!

  • @thegripfreak101 People are really desperate for top comment these days, aren't they :P, Heck, I can say "Thumbs up if you are alive and watching this at the same time" and I'll get top comment :P... You... You're not gonna make this top comment just because I said "Thumbs up if you are alive and watching this at the same time", right?

  • @thegripfreak101 no, I'm watching this in 2034

  • @thegripfreak101 THUMBS UP :D

  • wtf

  • wakakaka so funny how the spider man crawl like an idiot!!!!

  • Lmfao!!! And thats all I have to say

  • Nice outfit anyways.

  • EPIC STEEL!

  • before 2002, this was the best we had

  • I really liked it at 2:07

  • Lol thnl god i aint old in those days! Lol they used frigin like somesortof really easy to get out of string XD

  • Disco Spiderman!

  • i love the way Spidey moves in this xD

  • lol!! XD i laughed when he was fighting!!! omg we've come so far

  • I wonder if this was a good movie

  • 0:13 to 0:18, you have to admit, thats way more epic than the best possible cgi

  • @ismael97ripper Ehm.... No?!

  • @ismael97ripper

I have to agree. CGI looks more cartoony than realistic. And as corny as this clip might be to some people you just KNOW it was a real person doing those stunts and NOT CGI.

  • This reminds me of the Spiderman Tokusatsu that came out in Japan around this time...and YES, he had a giant robot.

  • wow I remember being like 4 years old and watching this on cbs. this was the shit back then for a kid big into spider-man. It's a shame they never had any of the actual spidey villians on. People crack up about this and say this sucks but you got to remember that was all we had back then so you eagerly awaited stuff like this.

  • @jerbojones absolutely... I'm a teacher, and when I let the kids watch some of the things from my childhood (Clash of the Titans, Superman, Wizard of Oz), they get all bratty saying, "that's so fake! You can see the string..." but back then, Medusa, the flying monkeys were terrifying to us. I'm sure every person who says that looks cheesy ten or fifteen years from now, their kids will look at the CGI and say "that's so fake, you could see the CGI pixelation!" ... oh wait, they already are.

  • @youngrebels75 Lol! The CGI Pixelation... that'll be the day wouldnt it?

  • You could tell its fake

  • @littlemaldosa1 Gee, really? it wasn't the real Spiderman that I see every day swinging from the Empire State building?

  • not stan lee on the credits O:

  • Why didn't they just shoot him, or at least use a real blade on him.

  • This is the thing I hated about old Superhero shows and TV movies, they rarely if ever used villians from the book. There was very little respect for the source material and therefore thats why we got crap like this. Sure the movies now-a-days look better, but even the worst comic flick now is better than most of the best flicks back then, with the exception of Donners Superman ofcourse. Anyone saying that this stuff is quality, honestly dont know the characters.

  • ive got this movieeeeeee

  • Mark Millar sent me.

  • Soooo Blaxploitation-ish!

  • This is so Epic like Incredible Hulk and the A Team... I've watched this when I was a kid... To advance for it's time...

  • It looks like it could be some bad seventies porno. Especially with that music.

  • 0:55 LOOK OUT, HE'S GOT RIPPED UP COTTON BALLS :OOO

  • @vonhallowable lmao!!

  • Somehow I have a feeling that this will be better than the coming remake.

  • I'm so hyped for when this comes out in 2012, Andrew Garfield is simply amazing.

  • lol and i thought spider-man 1 was made bad lol

  • Awesome stuff. It's from 1977 wow, just wow.

  • I sorta like this better than the movies. Granted I hate the movies.

  • :056 haha love that webspinning action

  • This one shuld be called Funky Spiderman, so you can tell him from the modern one.

  • This is really gay

  • did some one say spidey thread??

  • Jizz in my pants!

  • Besides, look at the recent films: you don't ever see Parker putting his costume together. Do you really think that Peter the science student could pull off a slick outfit like that? At least with this depiction, you believe that Parker could have cobbled together the suit in his bedroom.

  • Apparently, the suspension of disbelief is a skill lost to today's generation.

  • I like the mask :)

  • I gotta say at least Marvel tried. Technology was no where near where it should have been at that time. Spiderman should have been totally left alone until the film industry could catch up.

  • Lol this was wayy to cheesy.
