Take a look at OpenStreetMap -- entirely mapped by volunteers and completely under a free license! Some areas have even more details than Google Maps.

What an excellent tool for Real Pro Neighborhood Experts who can map the neighborhoods they sell. Realtors can use Google maps in their blog posts and pages, then post on Facebook, Twitter, Digg and Stumbl. I am going to check this out for sure!
