I was at the newbury comics in boston but i didn't get to meet him cuz i got there too late. but i did see gerard come out the back door and i waved to him and he waved back. I was crying lol but hey he and mcr are my heroes so what would you do?

I think it's great that he's trying so hard to make the umbrella acedemy a succes because they're right, young people almost only read manga. I do. But it's because I grew up with it, here in sweden when you say "comics" you think about maga instently! Horray for G, love his music and his art! <3

wow. he mentioned work from katsuhiro otomo, grant morrison, frank miller, alan moore, gabriel ba and james jean. no wonder umbrella academy was so well done. when it comes to comics, gerard has all the right tastes and influences. he knows how to bear away from the typical and create something completely original. i really can't wait for the next umbrella academy series.

Yep, he did the comic book signing @ Newbury Comics. I went into boston at 7 am to wait on line until 10 am to get the wrist band, got it, walked around boston until about 1 pm, got back into line until 4 pm when the doors opened and people met him one by one. waited on line for about another hour and a half, met him at about 5:30 pm or so, and got out of boston by 6:30. So I basically spent almost 12 hours in Boston to meet him for about a minute and a half. It was so worth it!
