the fact that they didnt have to speak greatly about themselves but everyone else do its the right way to blow the hole media away. im glad of loving this band

well its easy for us as outsiders to judge... if we care to try and understand well come up with the fact that their just musicians and that their not much into that whole being stars and shit since their icelandic and not from the states or the "cultural surroundings" so their just like icelandic people: simple, kind and unpretentious. Too existentially pickled for conversation? Even an elitist like Roger Waters always managed to allow himself to be engaged. These guys are so precious that a nice reporter like this young lady can't even ask them straight forward unassuming questions without being treated as if she's on a lower plain. The "dark unapproachable artist" routine is so old and tiring. We already have an Icelandic mythology, we don't need the one these twits have concocted about themselves in their heads.

Sigur Ros are simply four guys who love to make music. bretglover - Just because other bands do the whole publicity thing, doesn't mean that they have to. They are shy people but you should go and see them live before you say anything. I've seen them live and to be honest it was the best night of my whole life, they have changed my life. They are lovely people who make the most wonderful music in the world, so have listen or leave them alone, your comments aren't welcome here. I LOVE SIGUR ROS!
