I wonder if the "they'll welcome us as heroes, I guarantee it" line is a reference to the U.S.'s assurances that the Iraqis would greet American forces as liberators.
Did he just say "Phil's a pimp"? Isn't that a reference to The Godfather when Don Corleone said "Tataglia's a pimp."? Because I remember that Tataglia's first name was also Phil.
It's actually interesting that on season 4 episode 3 Tony and Silvio are talking about Frankie Valli (as Frankie Valli) and that later on he happens to play this Rusty character.
omg this is my favorite family show. litteraly lol. i had no idea that was frankie though. great show great acting. rock on frankie. it would have been better though if he would have broke out singing grease. lol godbless.
the Mayor of Munchkinland was a bad motha! Rusty was the shit. Valli did a good job because he has been around mob guys all his life so playing this role came natural to him. No doubt.
I really liked Valli's performance here, he was cool as hell. He really looked like a mafioso and a dangerous one! Rusty was one of the coolest characters in the later seasons and too bad he had to go so soon.
Remember that Frankie was born and raised in the NYC and New Jersey area. He had to live on some tough streets.
I even heard in an interview that Valli had to get some street cred to work his way up on the musical ladder during those times.
So Frankie Valli made some great songs, but I'm sure he is still a dirty old fart who could cuss like a sailor and put a beat down on whoever needed it.
Let's get it straight. Frankie was not born and raised in NYC he was born and raised in Newark, NJ (hence the JERSEY BOYS). My mom grew up in his neighborhood (so did I). She remembered him well.
I never said he was from NYC. I said he was born around the NYC and New JErsey area (Newark is in that area and only bout 26 minutes from NYC). All I was saying was I'm sure he grew up on some tough streets and he probably had a bad-ass rep.
All I was saying is that NYC has nothing to do with NJ. If you are from North Jersey you would understand. Everyone associates NJ as the NY area. That's all.
I KNOW NJ is part of the Tri state area. I love NYC it's the best place to be. But when you start saying NJ's a toxic dump that's going a little too far. And besides the landfills in the Meadowlands are closed. NYC has or had the landfills in Staten Island which are just as toxic.
