This man had a choice to make once... the choice was between his life and his voice. He was told that if he didn't do something about his weight (ie: surgery etc), he would die. However, if he did that ~ he would lose his singing voice and through that his message to the world. He chose his voice - he gave his life to share his music with the world, like Bob Marley who also gave his life so he could keep singing (Marley knew if he kept singing for peace he would be killed). @debyj1952, he died in 1997 at age 38 of cardiovascular and respiratory problems caused by his obesity. He had already lost a brother to a heart attack at a young age as well. Iz had a state funeral in Honolulu, the Hawaiian flag was flown at half mast and tens of thousands of Hawaiians paid their last tribute to this extraordinary singer and human being who still can touch hearts all over the world regardless of culture. Maybe once in a century is someone like him born on this planet!

@greco1305 It actually was a tear. Sweat contains a decent amount of Sodium Chloride/Water. Where as tears, contain mostly mucus, water and oil, only gaining NaCl from your skin, not from production. Due to this, tears will stay a bit more solid, like water running up the windshield of a moving car. Where as sweat, due to the NaCl, will appear to soak into the skin, and flatten your cheek fuzz (see right cheek). What you saw at 3:29, stayed solid too long to be sweat. Bill Nye rules.
