those dogs are gorgeous but i have to admit i have a leaning towards Deuce - he reminds me of my rescue dog but in white LOL.

You must have purchased your dogs from my neck of the woods. Except for the massive head, white bandit really does look like a good example of an ol' southern. These are my favorites. They are very hard to find. I have a southern/scott hybrid that I got in Mobile,Al. Everyone thinks she is a pit because she is only 60 lbs. I prefer a good natured, runt of the litter. They are easier to control and fit in the bed, couch and pick-up cab easier. Long live the southern!

LMAO sorry your comment about your ol' southern/scott x made me laugh, I have a bandogge (bull breed/mastiff x) she's an ol' southern,scott/Cane corso & everyone think the same thing about her even bulldog ppl which doesnt say much about them now does it lol. OmG ...... what a dead set stunner these two are :) im a recently converted fan of american bulldogs, My house mate has a 19 month old hybrid and he is just a gorgeous example of the breed :) I have previously owned a Rotti who shared my family and my journey for the past 13 years.... she is now passed away and now im holding out to get one of these little beauties ..... you obviously love em lots ..... I just hate how ppl are breeding these dogs for head size and a wide chest instead of athleticism and ability like they use to be. Bullies are no longer bulldogs in my opinion.

johnson bulldogs have a more boxier head like a boxer and heavier built the Scott bulldogs have a head more resembling a pitbull style i have a 13wk old white scott bulldog

@qncybl Johnson heads are more like a english bulldog...scott lines heads are more like a boxer... There are 5 strains of American Bulldogs... Deuce is "Old Southern White" and has the biggest head at any shows I've carried him...Female Scott line dogs heads are more like a pit but not the males...

Got to say that both Demon deuce and Darla looks great! Read Lemuels book a couple of moth ago, wich I recommend for everyone! U can be happy getting dogs from Joshua kennels!

Pretty. I also have a white american bulldog and she has blue eyes.Their great dogs and full of energy. Also very stocky. I prefer them before pitbulls. Thanks for the great vid.

a gorgeous pup, you did a great job makin him a "dawg" :). I agree with the knee to the chest (firmly not strongly) it works wonders with my rotties. A firm "NO" verbal is accompanied - you do the dog world proud with your pups!!

Joahua's Kennels have some beautiful Old Southern Whites...MRJERKF...Bulldogbart uses the same method I use withour five huge ABs...a knee to the chest as they are jumping. We start our puppies out that way too so they do not jump on children that are here to look at them. Bulldogbart...nice looking dogs. We have five of our own! Love 'em!

MRJERKF... When my dogs would try and jump up on me I would push my knee out and my hand down or either step unto them pushing them off balance and say no and make them sit.. and turn my back on them... If they ran around in front of me again I would make them sit and turn my back on them and ignor them until they calmed down.... once calmed I praised them.... When you greet you dog you don't want to excite them at first.... If excited they will usually jump up... You have to practice this...

i noo ive just had one he lasted till 15 months and had to have an operation on his knee and sadly didnt wake up from the anastetic you dnt realise how much space they take up until there gone cnt wait for my new puppy though

bobgtir.... Deuce is a "old southern white"...bred out of White Bandit Kennels of Germany.....He was shipped to USA at the age of 8 1/2 wks to Joshua Kennels where his mother was from.... He is considered to be a "standard" or "scott" type....

Deuce had a awesome growth rate... He was almost 27" and 122 lbs at 10 & 1/2 months but was overweight so we did the "Rocky" thing and ran him twice a day and cut his food by a third and got him down to 114 lbs at 12 mo. and he went Best-in Show at 2007 AB National Champ Show....He is now 3yrs old and is 28" at shoulders and a hard & lean 125 lbs and has his mature adult size..... He is bigger than he looks in video...He got his huge size from his sire which is same size....

love the dog and video up till 3min 55 secs as there is absolutely no reason for any domestic dog to attack an arm glove except an police dog under pressure. I`m Scottish and thats just my opinion. I have Staffis and i love them to bits and would never antagonise them into doing such a thing like that as there is simply no need to. Simple.

But my bulldogs are not being antagonised. that is me wearing the "arm glove" and I'm not being attacked... we are playing as we do with the springpole and tug rope and their tire. this is one of the things we do for exercise.... my bulldogs love me and all of our family members and they also love to play hard.They have great temperment and are very stable. They think the "arm glove" is a tug toy and have no idea it is used to train police dogs.

Thanks until last year I had 3 females,2 passed away .Now Millie plays with the Yorkie Mr. Tibbles weighed 1 1/2 lbs when he came home.Millie played with him like she was holding eggs.I'm waiting on a pup from Johnson Kennels I'm sure it will become a welcome member of the family.

Actually I just read who they are out of! Great looking animals. How are their temperaments? Have you run into any dog aggression? I am getting a male pup. I already have a submissive male black lab, and a bitchy female shepherd cross. Just hoping my new pup will do well with the submissive male lab.

You shouldn't have any problems... My bulldogs get along great with a Maltese and two Shih Tzu's...You need to spend a lot of time with a bulldog and train him.. It's a lot of work but a lot of fun... If you don't know how to train one learn how.. it's not hard....

I love the american ptbull terriers... The Pitbulls and American Bulldogs are very powerful, smart, athletic, with tremendous hearts...With the very best against the best who knows...But that's not what these two breeds are being breed for today... They are canine competitors in dog sports, tracking, search and rescue dogs as well as home companion and protectors..... Both breeds are a ball to play with.... Get one and train him....you will have a lot of fun !

Black around their eyes... no they don't all have...There are five strands of american bulldogs with two major strands... the "Bully" and the "Standard" and a lot of differences within them..Both of mine are reg. standards and look different . Your dog is most likely a american bulldog....

pups aren't born with dark eye pigment.This comes later like the spots under their fur on skin..Not having it isn't a fault,But having eye pigment is a plus in the show ring. ' Mr.John D Johnson told me color was the last thing you pick on a dog.And don't ever let show rings make breeders conform the True American Bulldog to what they think one should look like.'
