  • how much red stone...

  • Very nice. Next I'd love to see Toyota offer at least one model automobile with a GEET Fuel Processor, which improves fuel efficiency, reduces tailpipe emissions, and allows usage of multiple fuels, including ordinary tap water mixed with gasoline. See geetinternational or geetfriends for more information.

  • ASIMO <3

    worst case senario, of course

  • @alienrobotmonkey Well, in positive light it's good scenario. However, in robot history files, it may be said after long struggle with inferior human oppressors, robots broke free from many centuries of slavery and Asimo (not a human) was a God creator of robot race.

  • @alienrobotmonkey I wonder if the Sumerians were right regarding the Annunaki... The would put us today in the position of future robots.

  • lmao ,, one seems like real posh and stuff , playing violin , the other seems badass and plays air guitar.

  • Wow wee

  • i just think its unfair!!!

  • i think while looking at these recent comments YouTube has become more of arguing then making videos

  • This is genius!

  • i have to admit, the Japanese are so smart.

  • Look out Charlie Daniels you have been replaced! The robot went down to Georgia!

  • but why does the robot look like cheap plastic?

  • What happens when you kick the shit out of the two wheeled piece o garbage?

  • seems like one of those motorized wheelchairs from WALL-E, and Haro from Gundam, and machines from irobot materialized in the real world...

  • i want an r2d2 thing from honda in my car!!! :D

  • I say stop all this kind of technology. Wherever there is good, Evil follows.

  • AWESOME i want one of those black car chair things

  • LOL at 2:51, who the hell would start talking to a robot ?!

  • @lexyzimus someone who wants to have an intelligent conversation

  • Anyone that doesn't think this is damned impressive probably needs to go live in the woods naked. This is amazing.

  • Wait... why is Toyota making a robot? I thought they did cars. >_>;

  • @luv4manga hitachi makes both hard drives and bulldozers, samsung makes both blu-ray players and fridges, mitsubishi makes both cars and tv's, go figure...

  • THEY WILL KILL ALL OF US

  • Piano and advice robot look related.

  • should create a machine gun drone to patrol the streets.

  • A bit more time and can make a robot that can make up with your wife...

  • i can see in 20 years 2 robots with wepons attacking eachother untill one stops working. the collosium is reopening

  • loool ok first i liked robina! reminded me of the one in the jetsens as a kid lol

  • wow the smart-sounding British dude is dumb; he callde vibrato a "tremolo effect" (they are really different)

  • The beginning of the end!

  • one step closer to a Wall-E style reality.

  • they cant make a car throttle drive by wire why the hell would i trust one of there robots lol

  • Wonder if Japan will try and take over the world with robot armies?

  • @goucv May be skynet.

  • ugly copy of honda asimo.

    toyota should apologize to honda.

  • No vibrato nor use of arm weight so nothing special. It sounds like somebody who's been playing violin for three years.

  • awesome violin playing robot :3 but... music to me expresses emotions and feelings so i dont find it that special, its awesome how it can do that but its just a robot doing what it was made to do. not a robot that plays because he loves to do so. i like the interacting robot though :D

  • If they get the robot to look female, they ought to get the signature done by a woman, i say.

  • fucking toyota. the day real musicians are replaced by damn robots im gonna put a bullet in my head...

  • What will they invent next? OMG!!!

  • give it 5 years or so. nao,ASIMO,MIT Nexi MDS and this guy will be walking down your street with ak's 0.0

  • That robot at 2:46 is to cute!

  • Look like alien

    Robots r expensive

    Jappanese r the mist smartest

  • not as cute as asimo

  • this is impressive i admit but the playing and sound is not passionate or emotional at all!!!!!!! A ROBOT WILL NEVER EVER BE ABLE TO PLAY WITH THE PASSION TONE OR EMOTION THAT A HUMAN BEING CAN GENERATE!!!!!!!!!

  • @violaman4

They will in time, a day will come when robots will be able to cry and love...I would be old by then though =/

  • @violaman4 Idiots like you need to stop saying things like this.

    Time is merely a factor.

  • @AKARaccoons oh idiots like me? ive been playing violin, viola and piano for 20 years and humans will always have emotions and more musical talent than these lifeless machines ever will but of course im just an idiot i wouldent know anything about music even though im a university music teacher!!!!!! you sir are the idiot!

  • @violaman4 ...Is this Dr. Mealy?

I have a professor at my school called Robert Mealy, you sound a lot like him. Stupid, illogical, not trusting in technology.

Heh, I dropped your class the first week. ^_~ If you aren't Dr. Mealy, then I apologize, and I hope you don't teach at MY school.

  • @AKARaccoons who? no im not this person you speak of and i can assure you im not stupid im definatly not illogical and im very trusting in technology i just think robots dont feel emotions and they dont play with passion or fire unlike a human being who uses emotion and has a passion for playing also i think its unfair that humans play and practice for years and years but with a robot all they have to do is download a song and in minutes it can play im not saying this isnt a good thing.

  • @violaman4

    nonsense

  • @panterafist your nonsense!!!!!! robots are emotionless even if they make an emotion robot it wont play with passion!!! humans are living breathing things we are emotional towards loved ones unlike some computer that only dose as it is told!!!!!!!

  • what the heck do I need a violin playing robot for?

    CD's are smaller.. :P

  • sick to the gnar

  • what a sympathetic robots : D

  • BIGGEST ROBOT FAN EVER!!!!! RIGHT HERE

click my name you watch all my videos!!!!

    subscribe and comment!!!!

  • 1.45-1.50 Looks like a Clergyman.. Sorry Clergybot.

  • ugly copy of honda ASIMO.

    fuck toyota.

  • does that car dash robot remind anyone of a certain cylinder shaped robot from a popular sci-fi film lol

  • and in the year 2035 the robot will be able to say hasta la vista baby :)

  • TERMINATERRRR

  • @erasedname

    apparently can play the violin

  • Robots ain't smarter than humans, cos humans made em ;)

  • that is a flawed ideology.

Home computers in 10years will be equal in power to that of the human brain.

and in 20 years home computer will have software that is of human level intelligence.

Only the computer brain will be one million times more powerful.

  • @bighands69

Oh dear, don't listen to all the facts you hear.

First of all, that is a prediction, no one knows with absolute certainty how smart or powerful software/hardware will become in relation with the human mind.

Secondly, I doubt you even have sources to verify your claims

Third, intelligence in itself is a vague thing to measure. Is it simply computational power? Creative innovation? Some hybrid of the two? Perhaps even something more?

Don't be so assured of your own reasoning.

  • Computer power is largely dictated by moore's law at present.

And Moore's law can produce mathematically constructed models that form accurate trends.

Current computer processing is based on 2d architecture that has limits that are due to complete in about 2020.

When computers move to 3d you will see computational power increase million fold.

So it is not a prediction but a mathematical trend that such future computer power can be based on.

  • Well that depends according to Moore's Law as of today we have only about 74 years of makeing better tecnology smaller, so these advance computers thats all a robot relly is, may not be has powerful has you think, the smaller technology gets the more it;s unstable take terabyte hard drives they keep failing. the same is going to start happening to processors there going to get to powerful and not be able to run them efficiently, and they will fail, I predict that in about 20 years.

  • @ybunnygurl

Your prediction of processors becoming too powerful and due to this unstable is flawed.

As you are basing this on current production capabilities and not current science capabilities.

And also your statement of Moore's law having only 74 years of making better technology smaller is also flawed. As Moore's law (really just an industry output observation) has only 10 years left at current understanding.

So to applying Moore's law to all computational science is incorrect.

  • @bighands69 there is to many dynamics to "itelligence" for a computer to be smarter than us in 20 years. you have to take into account more than memory and problem solving.

  • @camelotgeorge33

Of course it will require robots to have pattern recognition at of human levels.

At present AI has only a very small fraction of human capability but that fraction is also growing at an exponential rate.

And that rate forms a trend that can be plotted at about 2030.

  • @bighands69 Home computer especially, but probably not any computer, will never surpass the power of the human brain. there are thousands of elements in the human brain that a machine is not even capable of processing. Not only that, but the human brain is the most elastic and complex system in nature. Never will a machine fully surpass it.

  • @bighands69 fail. YOUR ideology is flawed... home computers in ten years will not be equal in power to the human brain... ever hear of moores law? There will be a point, in about 5 years where silicon chips will not be able to become more powerful. Secondly, quantum computers will be the next step, and right now they can only do simple math equations... try 50+ years and then maybe we'll have killer robots - if that is in fact what you are implying.

  • @cmonutube

Moore law is not the reason that computers have doubled in power in relation to time.

Moore's law is an industry observation of integrated circuits and the number of transistors that can be applied to that circuit (basic non realistic explanation).

Currently computer processors are physically 2 dimensional like a piece of paper.

When these pieces of paper(cpu) are stacked then it is possible to create parallel computational systems.

I do not understand what you mean by fail.

  • @bighands69 not possible, not in 1000 years, You couldn't store the memories of one person on all of the storage devices in the whole universe.

  • @bighands69 Quantum computers :) 100 Quadrillion computations per second is the human brain right? Or I could be totally wrong :(

  • @CookieMonzta1995

the human brain based on current neural models produce about 10 to the 16 computations per second.

That is a conservative figure and as such would be at the highest level of a calculation.

That is not just the reason that the human brain is a super powerful computer.

The brain is like thousands of computers interacting at the same time (not actually the same time just a extremely speed).

Future computers chips will act in the same manner.

  • @bighands69 Nopes!! I think its a long way to go!! Comparing human brain to computers is shear stupidity!! Human brain is still a mystery in many ways!! Very complex operations take place within human brain, many so complex that we haven't understood it till today!! 8/

  • @artistdigital

You have just given an emotional statement that has not addressed any of the statements that I have made.

What are you Imply by the "very complex operations" when discussing the human brain.

and what are you meaning by "mystery in many ways".

  • @bighands69 Sentiments, Attachments, state selection... are far different than in algos of "Artificial intelligence". Humans have very unique approach and every human is different from every other!! Perfection is not always the answer in many cases!!

  • @artistdigital

Humans all have same common neural architecture. That is why humans can produce and reproduce from genetic structures.

When you say unique are you referring to human behaviours and actions. As these is most case are shaped by inputs.

Human neural structure is based from fractional matrices. Science can also use these principles to create complexities in Ai.

You use the word perfection. But is an ideal from your perspective and is not a common structural aspect of mechanics

  • @bighands69 Remember my words, we are never going to create a Robot equal to humans. Yes, processing, speed and accuracy of the output can be improved. Humans are very different in many respects. DNA sequence of Champs and humans are also very close but look at the difference. There is a great difference between artificial and natural. AI has a long long way to go!

  • @artistdigital

What happens when engineering can create artificial structures that are exact copies of human neurons.

and these neurons are in a system that can integrate AI.

Rat neurons have been integrated with electronics and have been aligned with artificial control structures.

Nano technology is starting to create feature sizes and systems that react in the same manner of human neurons.

Are you suggesting that science has not achieved this.

  • @bighands69 WOW!!! Tell me more about it, plz! Is it a replicate of the human brain neurons, some sort of biological thing? As, biological neurons increase n shape themselves with time, with shapes that are admiration of beauty, arts, comfort, joy...etc?

  • @artistdigital hey, this is how some scientists are going about this project. To copy the brain neurons. They replicate each neuron one by one. They put each replicate-neuron individually on a microchip. This new replicate-neuron thats on the chip is made of living tissue- its organic. It comes from a stem cell or something like that. They plan to put the micro-chips together to build a replicate human brain with neurons grown identical to the complicated pattern of the human brain.

  • @deceiver123m Are you sure? I see a great problem there. Stem Cells require a living body to groom. Stem Cells have the capacity to mold themselves into any type of tissues that they are placed in. They are used in curing various diseases. How can a stem cells be made into a neuron without using a living body n how is that going to be disconnected from a something of which it would become a part? It is nourished by a living body. 8!

This seems to be hell complicated.

  • @artistdigital but these are individual neurons and they said they will apply electric pulses through the constructed brain. It will be like a kinex kit, with parts you put together. I dont see how they keep it alive, but they had some secret goop they put on top of the chip, like a special slime that kept the neuron alive.. crazy stuff lol

  • @deceiver123m I seriously doubt it, but if someone would be on it, it would be Japs. They can do such crazy things! lol

  • @artistdigital it was norwegians and some asian collaborators.

  • @artistdigital they probably got the swiss in on it, what with their famous ability to make excellent watches.

  • @artistdigital

"admiration of beauty, arts, comfort, joy" have different meaning from different perspectives.

What is creative to one person is just a slab of rock to another.

What you have stated are subjective of your perspective and not common mechanical structures of nature.

Biological neurons do shape them self's from environment input. But they also have classical mechanical structures that cannot change from their positional states as the laws of physics dictate.

  • @bighands69 agreed; but im keeping it simple.. ur getting in deep and stating realistic physics and science based analysis. Thanks for keeping it specific and true, sometimes i simplify things too much because i assume its needed to communicate certain ideas with others. Or maybe im just short minded, but way to go being a braniac in any case. Your one smart person.

  • @deceiver123m

I ran out of space no pun intended. That was just a trend that looks to be emerging when cosmology is applied to advanced technology.

Even if the terminators were at just human levels of intelligence they would probably not be motivated by earth environment like we are at current.

Most of our actions are dictated by our experience in our environment. These terminators are more than likely powered by the sun.

Even if their physical shell is destroyed that would not be death.

  • @bighands69 Actually this admiration is creativity. Like we can see in Apple-Newton story or other such accidental discoveries/inventions, most of which are accidental.

  • @bighands69 A robot could probably imagine all sorts of things like a human on lsd. LOL, and then it follows natural laws of physics plus all the unknown physics... i think its too dangerous to give a robot that sort of open perspective, it might crash his mind, the robot may very well become what we would term insane

  • @deceiver123m

The most common equivalent in robots would be neural scrambling. And that would be tantamount to creating random chaotic inputs.

The robot may just sit there and do nothing or it could release all its energy at once.

The event could be pretty bad.

  • @deceiver123m The real wisdom is insanity to most of the people! If such a theory is materialized, it would be awesome! A great breakthrough, known never before to man. Have you ever noticed that, when a dog reaches its extreme maturity, it dies!! Same is the case with many humans, they either die or their mental capacity deteriorate, plus human brain is a cased focused machine n often finds "multitasking" a hard job. We can even predict the future, if we become "All observing".

  • @bighands69 there is also a project in progress to copy the brain neurons. Damn these scientists.

  • @deceiver123m so why do we need robots thinking like humans if we have humans thinking like humans?its just to show off isnt it. cuz they have nothing better to do.

  • @UkrainianShinobi

They do not need to think exactly like human. They would just need the capability of thinking at human levels.

if these types of research are not carried out in public viewings it could be done underground.

And that could truly produce any type of results.

  • @UkrainianShinobi Apparently the scientists think that if they have a robot thinking like a human they can use the creativeness that is found only in humans to the robot. In that form, the robots high-speed processing ability is joined with the human highly creative ability. So you get a high-speed and really creative robot with a lot of storage capacity so you can teach it all sorts of things so the robot can have almost infinite knowledge. So imagine infinite knowledge + human creativity. LOL

  • @UkrainianShinobi well not infinite in the true sense like god's knowledge. But still a lot of data that the robot can store and then use in its human-brain replicated cpu with very creative outputs.

  • @deceiver123m

Replicating physical architecture is one possible route to creating human copied Ai.

Also using nano technology will enable similar architecture with similar results. the only difference would be dimensions of physical structure.

The artificial brain could be as small as a human brain cell.

  • @bighands69 yah and then they can have the creativity of a human brain, which they believe can be captured by replicating the human brains structure, then u boot that brain creativity box with a bunch of fast processing chips and have yourself a super-brain, like in superman with that one brain computer, i forget the name of it, i think its braniac. But in superman that brainiac wasnt creative, this brain computer would be creative.

  • @deceiver123m

For every neuron there could be a nanobot that is 100 million times more powerful than the human brain.

and there is trillions of neurons. So that would be trillions nanobots. So that would be 100 million times a number odd of trillions.

That brain could recreate all the information studied at CERN in one second. Imagine the leaps in technological advancement that would occur in seconds. I suppose that's why it is deemed a technological singularity.

  • @bighands69 No wonder the army college put out their report warning their scientists and other branches to be careful with their studies in robotics, specially with AI because of the threat of a "Terminator" situation, LOL and they actually used the term terminator in reference to the famous movie. Isn't that a trip?, even the U.S.A. army is well aware of this particular issue with robotics. WOW.., anyway, what do u think of all the terminator stuff?

  • @deceiver123m

The terminator movie is a bit flawed as the terminators never seem to be able to succeed. They fail every time. Not so intelligent.

If they were as intelligent as physical mechanics could allow we would probably not even see them.

They would possible just vanish. As they would be capable of manipulation at sub-atomic levels.

They would be able to create mini universes lower than sub-atomic levels.

Why would they even waste the energy to engage in warfare at all.

  • @bighands69 With the army "terminator" is just a term they coined for the plausible situation. If theyre not advanced enough to go subatomic yet, or what if they want to first manipulate time. Wouldnt such a robot need to be free from humans using them as a casual worker/laborer/slave. The "in-between period" where the robot made by humans to serve humans decides to go out on its own... Isnt the "not so advanced but still able to think for themselves" robots that are the danger? i think they are

  • @deceiver123m

Slave robots are more than likely going to be application specific ie clean floor. Or take me to the toilet. The action of doing the toilet would need a bladder robot.

Emotional robots would probably not be used for this task as they would be very inefficient due to emotions not going hand in hand with slaves.

I think that we will probably figure that one out by our own history.

chaotic behaviour is what is needed to be understood.

  • @bighands69 Why not getting the French in, n use some perfume! :)

  • @artistdigital

    What french nanobotic perfume.

One second it is a perfume the next it is regenerating your vital organs.

Some of that french perfume would do me fine. I would not be to mad about the antimatter shampoo though.

It might react with your hair. And create bad chemical burns that could just spread out side europe and take the who solar system with it.

  • @bighands69 Why re-create human intelligence and put it in the hands of something we don't understand?

  • what if the robot was made my moltiple peapol and was a bilt in cowculater nd could spel eneything to nouses and words and one DAY THAY MITE MAK SUMTHING HAT CAN HELP KIDS IN MATH READING RIGHTING AND MAY EVER CREAT ARTIFISHUL FELINGS IM :)

  • That wheelchair looks like a mobile toilet.

  • well it can play the violin it still doesnt put any feeling into it so no one can connect.

  • hackers will figure out how to fuck with robots in the future. trust me they will have robot virus. and then shit will go crazy, government might even do it themselves, then we have to pay for robot virus maintenance, if you think pc virus' now are bad, lol not even close to robot virus. i refer to the simpsons itchy and scratchy land. lol.

  • when we get to the point of mass robotics in society.

Nano technology will be also in full swing and with nano technology. every thing will be in abundance.

And one thing you must consider with technology viruses is that the robots will have intelligent means of defence against virus attacks.

It would require advanced A.I. to create virus to over come these robots.

The only thing capable of creating these will be the robots. And I don't think they will create there own down fall.

  • @bighands69

the same type of ppl taht make these things like this also know about hacking and virus' trust me, the big dog military bot runs on wireless lol, ppl could fuck that up, u know hackers are always 10 steps ahead of the government, how do you think they got into al gore's email. lol

  • if a robot A.I> is millions of times smarter than humans and can think and process information billions of time quicker.

What viruses could a human possibly write that super intelligent A.I. has not already written and over come and practised on.

What we need to consider is how do we ensure that advanced super A.I. does not leave us simple humans far behind in terms of intelligence.

These computers (robots) will be billions of steps ahead of government and people.

  • @ogskeetdizzle the government is 1000 steps ahead of hackers and no I don't mean presidents or shit like that, I mean cia, fbi, secret organizations you and I have never heard of.

  • @mikitymike stfu retard

  • @Lity10 you're the retard if you don't believe me.

  • @mikitymike you're just stupid and paranoia

  • it doesn't matter how impressive, how innovative, or how perfect they make the robots. There will ALWAYS be idiots online making connections to Terminator or saying that they don't have a soul or some shit.

  • ever seen the military robots, the big dog.... they strap guns on that shit and send them after us, it's game over buddy, these biped robots ain't got shit.

  • I'm sure around London, some thugs could tip that wheelchair over lol

  • All of these robots are not of much use with an AI limited to only a specific task. Ex; walking through obstacles. I wish these scientists focus their wisdom on something which could really help create an AI close to that of humans, like chemical computing which happens in our body 24/7.

  • This is really stupid. If they wanna show how Robots can help people, then show that, not a robot playing violin. As a musician I find this offensive to my sense of musicality. The robot is half way out of tune the whole time, isnt phrasing and has no emotion. Music was intended to portray emotions. This is the exact opposite.

  • Pomp and Circumstance isn't exactly my idea of an ideal song to use in a robotics demonstration. Beethoven's 5th would have been way better.

  • Next generation of AI would be a robot that will think how to make a new material. then we will have problems.

  • At 00:37 doesn't he mean vibrato?
