Getting Your Dog Ready for Hunting Season

I have a lab that is 3. She is trained but I'm having a issue with her and the guy that trained her screwed me over. So my issue is she will retrieve but she doesn't want to jump off the dog stand in the woods. However if I throw a dummy she will hit the water full speed. And I have to make her jump off to get a duck. But she will go get one if I make her jump off. Do u have any advice to help me? Thanks.

@Memphismike1235 - teach your dog the "hold it" command. Take the training bumper and put one of your hands on the jaw of the dog opening his mouth place the bumper in his mouth and hold it closed with the same hand you used to close it and say "Hold it!" sternly. Continue this until you know the dogs' got it down, he may resist it but don't let him. When he goes to retrieve the bumper tell him hold it and make him until you release him or take it from him. I have a 6 month old lab and I cant get him to deliver to my hand.On his return trip he drops the bumper 3ft infront of me. Any advice??
