well technicaly whale lives are rebuildable with every birth. ok, replenishable is more accuarte i guess. I guess that is the meat of the biggest differnce betweeen us. I see whales (and every other hunted animal) as natual resourses. As long as i belive that the numbers taken are sustainable, i have no problem with it. I guess they didn't teach you about Minke whales in school. There are about 760,000 Minke whales in the southern oceans alone. Taking 800 whales per year is statistically insignificant. yeah right that's from 20 years ago and the info is probably not accurate considering that the technology back then wasn't as good scientists NOW think that there are about 300 000- 350 000 of them around which is extremely low since the populations before the whaling started were around 1 250 000...
