Although the 10th master required that his army have wear a particular uniform as they were a army. ei...hermets...mobile shorts as compared to the tratitional indian sheet...for armour for the for arm...ect...
Sad that the faith of the Guru Granth Sahib has become so ritualized and dogmatic.

@bavejamsingh Dear as far i have heard these are from from dasm granth, however i am not here to argue but the only point i m highlighting here that by creating our own verses we are dividing the sikh religion and sikh thoughts as composed in our Granth Sahib, likes of sant ram rahim...and if i go by your ideology he is not doing anything wrong, we will end up having so many other school of thoughts and dividing the Sikh philosophy of life, "me and god are one" what does this implies??

@pranky407 true, bani is the word of God and these verses self composed. If this was to be sung in a temple masqueraded as real bani, then yes definitely this is not acceptable. However, this performance is not at a gurdwara and shes not said its actual bani.
There is a place for Kavis/dhadi's in the gurdwara, theve been there for ages. I dont see how this is different.
@jinsarangi True, Dear you must know that Guru Nanak Dev Ji Started the Concept of Sangat and Pangat., Gurudwara is a learning institution where we Learn the Qualities of Supreme being, and where we share our earning for free Kitchen(pangat) thereby eliminating the barriers of cast, creed and race. My only fear is that we are being divided, when we have Guru Granth Sahib Ji, where we can spread the message of gurus and Praise the Supreme Lord , why to Sing the Self Composed Verses.
Dear Pranky, Your fear is unfounded. She is telling the message of our guru to people in their language. Just like dhadhis preached to the villagers.
And understand, she wasn't born sikh, she didn't understand punjabi from birth. She very well knows what it takes to get her message across. And she has inspired more people to adopt sikh faith than all of us together.
Guru's word is for all, not just for the people who understand punjabi; and they all eventually try to learn punjabi

No this is not the name of her song. This I believe was part of improvisation that she did in live concert at the beginning of Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo. "God and Me, Me and God are one" was a mantra given by Yogi Bhajan.

i choice surrender, think about this, we pray for a better car,money, a good partner,etc.... if that aint in our lifetime, we will be re-born, we have been here for i dont know how long,we have asked, the "one" has given, we ask, we get.....etc..... why not ask for union, to unite with the divine, not just ask,with words but our actions & means it, when like me u r beaten, my mind is clouding the matter, im so wounded,tired and close to just lying down and not wanting to get up.....

Agya bhai... to... Guru Manyo Granth is from poetry of Bhai Nanda Lal jee and "Guru Granth jee Manyo ... to ... Khoj Shabad main Ley" is from Composition of Giani Gurdit Singh in Panth Parkash. The third line is composed by Bhai Daya Singh - I think. Still these are recited daily after Ardas.

@bavejamsingh Dear as far i have heard these are from from dasm granth, however i am not here to argue but the only point i m highlighting here that by creating our own verses we are dividing the sikh religion and sikh thoughts as composed in our Granth Sahib, likes of sant ram rahim...and if i go by your ideology he is not doing anything wrong, we will end up having so many other school of thoughts and dividing the Sikh philosophy of life, "me and god are one" what does this implies??

@pranky407 true, bani is the word of God and these verses self composed. If this was to be sung in a temple masqueraded as real bani, then yes definitely this is not acceptable. However, this performance is not at a gurdwara and shes not said its actual bani.
There is a place for Kavis/dhadi's in the gurdwara, theve been there for ages. I dont see how this is different.

@jinsarangi True, Dear you must know that Guru Nanak Dev Ji Started the Concept of Sangat and Pangat., Gurudwara is a learning institution where we Learn the Qualities of Supreme being, and where we share our earning for free Kitchen(pangat) thereby eliminating the barriers of cast, creed and race. My only fear is that we are being divided, when we have Guru Granth Sahib Ji, where we can spread the message of gurus and Praise the Supreme Lord , why to Sing the Self Composed Verses.

Dear Pranky, Your fear is unfounded. She is telling the message of our guru to people in their language. Just like dhadhis preached to the villagers.
And understand, she wasn't born sikh, she didn't understand punjabi from birth. She very well knows what it takes to get her message across. And she has inspired more people to adopt sikh faith than all of us together.
Guru's word is for all, not just for the people who understand punjabi; and they all eventually try to learn punjabi

@pranky407 "Me and God are one" implies the one and only truth: We are all one with God. Sikhs, Christians, Hindus, Muslims -- all are one with God. God doesn't care which religion we're in. It's humans who worry about such petty misunderstandings. Quit worrying about the "purity" of Sikhism. It's irrelevant!!!

No this is not the name of her song. This I believe was part of improvisation that she did in live concert at the beginning of Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo. "God and Me, Me and God are one" was a mantra given by Yogi Bhajan.
