  • thanxx soo much :D @gelyn 64

  • Does anyone know the name of the song that's playing when Mark is running from the bar to his dorm. It's a piano piece.

  • @12lmeganl12 Hand Covers Bruise

  • @CeejayGSPB Thank you :3

  • Stunning, <3 Reznor

  • This piece from the score put so much more emotion and motivation into the scene when Mark tried to say Hi to Erica.

  • I think it's cool how Reznor and Ross won an oscar

  • still trying to figure out how Zimmer lost to this.. this.

  • @deadpatronus Because it's better.

  • @deadpatronus Because the Zimmer score will be forgotten years from now, because it sounds like every other thriller. While Fincher's is downright creepy, subtle, and has the experimental qualities lacking in film scores today, embarrassing really.

  • @countchunkula i love you

  • @countchunkula - It sounds like so many other scores because he makes so many of them, haha. But anyways don't get me wrong this is a good soundtrack, but I don't see how you could say it will be forgotten in years. Hans' work is very well regarded as one of the best modern composers for films. Saying it will be forgotten in years is just ignorance.

  • Amazingly haunting... Reznor & Ross make this film.

  • Does anybody know which song was playing when they were in a club?!

  • @spiffyAT Sound of Violence (Main Mix). It's not on the soundtrack though, its taken from somewhere else.

  • Best track of the soundtrack.

  • @psychofunksoldier02 When zimmer was making soundtracks and masterpieces trent was a just a kiddo.

  • 2:50 "The internet's not written in pencil, Mark. It's written in ink.

  • the Mozart of our time!

  • what is the person at 2:40 saying? You have to turn the song way up.

  • which is the song used when mark chooses the interns.it's starts sumthing like "california..."

  • @11547able California Uber Alles - Dead Kennedys

  • Trent Reznor said (in a 45 min discussion about the score which u can find on youtube)...that the part of the movie that surprised him the most w/ the score being placed...was this scene, how it switches from the bathroom scene to when Mark approaches his ex in the resaurant.

I felt the same in the theater, starting at 2:19 is when Mark roams over to Erica (when watching it, the score made him look like a ghost..all alone and desperately needing someone to talk to).

    DAMN amazing score!!!

  • This song is BOMB. The score is brilliant. It's not the same movie without it.

  • how the heck did this beat out the score of Inception?!! I'm sorry, but this crap compared to Zimmer's masterpiece...

  • @jck1794 I agree.

  • @jck1794 Because this felt like a backbone to the story. it made a movie about facebook send shivers down my spine due to the score synced perfectly.

Dont get me wrong, Hans Zimmer is incredible, I'm a huge fan of his and always will be...BUT The Social Network NEEDED this score in order to be what it was.

Inception could have used The Dark Knight score and been almost as good. Just wasn't needed (but sure did help the movie).

There a few scenes in Inception that it was needed..but TSN 100%.

  • Trent Reznor making music without vocals. I love it... Hes brilliant when hes not singing.

  • 5/5 is what i give this song

  • Which song was playing during the "Sean-a-thon" scene?

  • @snurbruns Magnetic

  • Comment removed

  • It is very interesting and uplifting. I'll go away after that and I'm curious about the soundtrack. health and Merry Christmas :-)

  • I hope Trent wins the Oscar, would be a great lifetime achievement award, considering how much he gave to Music in the last two decades without that much recognition

  • 10/10

  • I'm not surprised at TR's work in movies. He dabbled in it way back in 94 with Natural Born Killers and did sound design for iD Software's Quake in 96. I mean the guy is a walking renaissance man when it comes to music. One moment he's blasting you with ear splitting anthems like Happiness In Slavery, gentle tunes like the quiet version of The day the world went away and now this. Awesome.

  • Reznor has come, he came in my ear pussy, this is awesome!!

  • Awesome!!! this sounds ringing in my ears like a perfect music when i am in trance

  • this is so butiiful ,even words can't describe this .

  • Song from the club scene - Dennis de Laat "Sound of Violence"

  • whats the name of the song when he was in the club with sean?

  • does anyone know the name of the hardcore techno in the club scene?

  • @zeferion2 it's "In the Hall of the Mountain King " by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross

  • Does anybody know what song is played in the club, while mark is talking to sean parker, and they're talking about sean's gf being a victoria's secret model ?

  • Does anyone know the song that was played during the boat race?

  • @zeferion2 dunno but i love it !

  • @zeferion2 it's "In The Hall Of The Mountain King", by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross

  • What is the name of the song that is played when Eduardo Saverin receives the invite under his door?

  • anybody know which track was playing when mark and the other guy (napster) were in the night club? This sound was amazing in theatre ;)

  • Does anybody know which song was playing when he was actually making the face mash website?

  • @thedesperate4eva "A Familiar Taste"

  • @CeejayGSPB actually, i'm pretty sure it's in motion. but I could be wrong.

  • @CeejayGSPB no... its "In Motion"

  • @CeejayGSPB He also used "In Motion" when he was downloading the pictures.

  • @CeejayGSPB What about the scene where Mark, Eduardo and Kristi meet Sean parker for the first time? At the dinner meeting.

  • @blablabla3074 "Magnetic"

  • It's "In Motion" that's being played during the numerous parties occurring and Mark's creation of the "Face match" website. Great scene and amazing song from an amazing film (one of the top five best of the year).

  • @thedesperate4eva I'm pretty sure it was actually "In Motion", not "A Familiar Taste" as someone else suggested.

  • @thedesperate4eva In Motion

  • @thedesperate4eva In motion

  • @thedesperate4eva "In motion"

  • @thedesperate4eva "In motion"

  • @thedesperate4eva In Motion

  • @thedesperate4eva In Motion

  • @thedesperate4eva "In Motion" too.

  • @thedesperate4eva No, it's "In motion"...!

  • if anyone's heard trents ghosts album they'll know he's been doin this style for a while and he's perfected it

  • Move Hanz Zimmer...Get out the way!! Reznor has arrived on the scene!!

  • @psychofunksoldier02

    Seriously, has arrived ?

I listen to his songs for years :)

He does music for more than 15 years

  • @digital103

First album from Nine Inch Nails was released in 1989. And since then I love what Trent does. He's by far the most talented and best musician in the scene.

    Yeah, he's a genius!

  • Comment removed

  • @digital103 DUH! :-) I was referring to the movie soundtrack scene. I've been following Reznor since '91. Now he can win grammys and oscars!

  • @psychofunksoldier02 Don't say that, Hans Zimmer is a fucking legend already, its good to have Trent here but he's still light years behind Zimmer.

  • which song was the one in the club when he's talking to Sean?

  • @SMCstudio3 It's called The Sound of Violence - Dennis de Laat :)

  • does anyone know if this is the song that was playing in the restaurant when Mark was first meeting Sean for the first time? It sounds like it might be but I can't tell for sure.

  • @gexxy yes that si exactly right. In the restaurant scene with Shawn meeting in NYC

  • @gexxy actually , i doubt this is the one. the resturaunt scene sounded like '14 Ghost II' by Nine Inch Nails. I'm almost certain

  • @orozco360 that sound much closer to what I remembered from the movie, whether it's the exact same or if the movie used a remix is still hard to tell but that does seem to have more of the right beat. The other song (EWFOW) was the only song on the soundtrack like it might have been a possibility but it just didn't seem to be 100% right. Might have to go see the movie again just to listen to it again and be sure.

  • @orozco360 it was.

  • @JesusCristo2002 Actually, I just listened to the full soundtrack. Listen to Magnetic, thats the one being played, its basically just a mixed version of 14 ghost.

  • @gexxy The song your looking for is called "magnetic" 'from then on, it was a shawn-o-thon'

  • In many ways I am getting to see the fulfillment of something I have wanted for a long long time: To see Reznor just compose instrumentally. No songs; no aspirations towards music intended to be played by a rock star at a rock show. Just Reznor as the brilliant modern composer he is.

I've now seen Ghosts and this soundtrack come out in a very short clip. I hope that at least the critical success of this movie (getting great reviews)

means we will see more and more of this from Trent.

  • @psychicwhoosh When I heard Reznor's music for Quake back in the 90's all I could think was, "He needs to do more of this." Well, here we are.

  • @bobbygnosis Yeah it is a real good thing. The movie is a success so I am hoping that we see much more of it. I think it would be the perfect move for him and Atticus. Those guys have always created the most beautifully dark soundscapes and personally I think if you're going to make a break from NIN that is an awfully good place to take your career.

  • im sure i can hear the iPhone jingle for new email in there!

  • Trent has a natural talent for anything musical obviously, but in particular for writing scores. He did Quake for the NINtendo 64. Check it out

  • Sounds a bit like the soundtrack to an older PC game by the name of Homeworld. (Even Homeworld 2 would fit though.) Good stuff!

  • @ pogokoala - hey fag, everyone understands that you are to closeminded to appreciate Ghosts or this musical score. Nobody really cares. If you don't like the music, get a life and move on loser. Have a nice day and keep flexin those amazing English skills!!

  • No other music can make my headphone sound so good ... so rich. Trent is a Genius of sound.

  • @AceOD911 You gotta give credit to Atticus as well..No doubt that Trent is a mastermind when it comes to music, but together these guys are just..I dont think there is a word that can describe just how great, explosive, overpowering their music is.

  • @AceOD911 if you like this song. search 'infamous soundtrack'. it is experimental music and it has been used for the video game infamous.

  • @AceOD911 I agree! Headphones are the way to go! It is like zen in my ears!

  • 'The book of Eli's Ghost'? This is awesome, can't wait to hear the rest of the score...

  • i LOVE it, it reminds me of Ghosts.

  • @whatletsfuck and that the problem with this soundtrack.

  • sounds straight out of book of eli

  • @tweak548 that is because Atticus Ross did both

  • @tweak548 Funny you should say that. Atticus Ross did the soundtrack for that movie as well as The Social Network, along with Trent Reznor of course.
