Rally cars are street legal.. They have to be to drive from one special stage to another.. Ok, so certain things on the cars are illegal if taken to the letter of the law, such as the exhaust pipe, (it doesn't matter if it's straight through, exhaust's are measured on the amount of noise that they produce at a given rpm), also the seatbelts are illegal as the law states that they should not restrict the drivers movement. But these things are generally overlooked. And not jsust for rallying.

@dohxboi Yes it is. It has licencse plates on it and full working lights(turn signals, high beams, brake lights,etc.) They have to do whats called a transit stage wich is on a public road and even though they are famous it doesn't change the law.

LRA and pushrods. the age old argument. there are literally zero engineering or performance reasons for using these technologies on HP cars.

There is only 1 single reason why Ford and GM continue to use these technologies in their performance cars (LRA in mustang, pushrods in GM engines).

They are cheaper than DOHC and IRS for high performance apps.

none of this "hurrr nascar uses pushrods, dey must be gud." they do that to support factory tech. real race cars use DOHC.

and how you can tell they are not equal leangth is because it does not have the boxer rumble of a flat 4.
