Bakht Zamina was a pukhtun, died in Jalalabad and was an afghan but she was born in Swat, married an afghan from Jalalabad and how she died is a mystery. One authentic source says her husband killed her. That probably could be true more than other stories. A less authentic source says she killed her husband and her husband heirs killed her. I do not buy this. The more authentic story is told by a young lady who is related to Bakht Zamina.

Bakht Zamina was an amazing performer and beautiful Afghan woman. She was unfortunately a supporter of socialism and in her attempted flee from the country in the 80's she was captured & murdered. I love all Afghan people however and I prefer to remember her for her beauty and not her political opinions.

@aerostockians thank you :) the first time i ever heard of her was when they put one of the music videos on the afghan channel. i asked my parents who she was and they told me everything they remembered about her, so they were a big help. i got to give all the credit to me mommy and daddy :) lol
