@patrickd126 Some years back I messed around with cardstock and with some modifications it worked and made for a little more resilient wing but the stiffer the paper, the more difficult it is to get the twist. The card stalk seemed to favor larger wing planforms as the larger wingspan would allow for twist to happen over a longer span with the stiffer paper. Try it out and let me know if you find success.
@menamiketrx i tried card stock and it only worked on the advanced omni wing, although if the fold were to the most exact point they could be i would work for the omni wing.
@magicmike1122 All the paper I use is waste paper. Rather than throwing them in the trash to fill up a landfill, I return the to the woods from which they came, thus the cycle of life.
With the added weight and the cleaner top surface and improved airfoil, the OmniWing with this particular mod will bly faster with improved glide ratio. Also be sure to check out the Advanced OmniWing.
winglets dont really help an omniwing cuz itz a wing and then will wreck the wing. winglets only really help to keep an airpplane going up or down and other stuff
note. I didn't bend the eing like those normal paper planes! i just added a peace of paper to the wing tips. And on you comment about the ups and downs?
Winglets are to make the wingtip vortex weak and not cause allot of induced drag.
heave you ever thought of getting into rc planes? either gliders or powered? im into almost all type of aviation. im going to get a parkzone stryker next but aparently you already know what a zagi is!
This would depend on the terrain. Where I live the mountains and hills are not very steep so rarely would I have a true cliff launch. The steeper the hill, the more wind the Advanced can manage. Also, pursue taking the Advanced concept even further with more internal structure, and more top surface layers. I have built with up to 8 sheets packed into one Advanced. Makes for a scarry fast craft that still maintains a very impressive glide ratio, thus able to penetrated stronger winds.
I am 55 years. Been folding the OmniWing for over 30 years. Yeah, I know... 55 and still making paper airplanes. What is up with that? But I love flight and this is just one of many of my recreations. Check out my channel and you will see I enjoy hang gliding, ultralight flying, mountain biking. See the videos....
I have had some thermal flights with the Advanced OmniWing. Will usually take some wings when I go hang gliding and launch them prior to setting up the hang glidier. At Mt. Nebo once, I am doing some early morning tosses off the roll-off to cliff and the Advanced Omni slips into a thermal and then actully goes into a slight turn and is gaining altitude. Some guy walks up and asks who is controlling the Zagi. He thought it was remote controlled. It does look like a zagi though.
Me and my dad and brother were having an argument about which flys better, airplanes with tape and those without, I said that taped airplanes flew better and my brother and father were against me.
So we made a little competition.
We each made on plane, and we threw them based on distance, speed and acuracy.
I used the Omniwing and won in both Distance and accuracy, while losing in speed.
I doubt that proceeding with the modifications will correct your problem. I would suggest you work on making sure you are getting maximum twist into your wing. You will need a good stable flying platform from which you can add the mods.

I;ll tell you a few of my mods,
1 was leading edge slats simular to the 747s
2 Vortex generators near the keel so the advanced wing has better flow in the High AOA in the middle!
And 3 Winglets!
