I have loved this since I was a little girl playing my first recital....I always wanted Victor to be my piano teacher...he made me love music, and mostly he made me laugh...the ability to be both an artist and a comedian is a gift from God.

I am a huge fan of Victor Borge. Unfortunately, I never had an opportunity to see him live, but always enjoy his performances. Another reason I like him, is that I, too, play piano. :)

@Rebekah88keys I had the opportunity to see him @ his last outdoor concert in Cincinnati: unfortunately I wasn't able to afford the ticket price. He passed away a few months later. A great loss, to both comedy AND serious music.

@copferthat - I think you hit the nail on the head. Someone has to 'take' offense. It is not given. Nobody can offend you; you have to actively feel offended. If an 'offensive' remark is taken in context, it is often seen to be funny, light, friendly, or whatever you wish it to be. Political correctness removes the place in the discussion that the listener brings and codifies it. It's no longer dialogue, just form.

Victor Borge brought my 2nd child into the world - having resisted going to hospital (while technically in labour) all Christmas Day 1994, I watched Victor Borge on TV that night and laughed so much that she pretty much popped out within minutes of finally getting to the maternity ward.
