Why I'm Switching from an iPhone to a Blackberry

that's the funniest thing i've heard in my life! when you get your blackberry,you'll hate it and will want to go back to your iPhone, i'm serious! i've never had a blackberry, but most people who have blackberrys have been having problems with it, they are also very sensetive, and break easily, just because all your friends have blackberrys doesn't mean you need one, they're all probably jelous of your iPhone anyway!:)

That was just about the stupidest thing I have ever heard in my life! When you said oh I like the Blackberry cases because they say Blackberry on them and they come in all different colours! You must live under a fucking rock cause iphone cases come in all different colours as well. This was 6 minutes that I wish I could get back and Blackberrys suck!!

hahaha. i love how people say how can you afford a imac, dslr camer, and iphone. well if he has a job, along with being a PAID YOUTUBE PARTNER, thats not real hard. imac= 1200, dslr camera= 700 iphone=300

total=2200. if he works minimun wage for 3 hours a night at mcdonalds or something, hes gonna be able to make 2200 bucks in about 6 months. considering he is 16 and doesnt have to pay for a house. so if you actually look at it, its not that hard to do

@JakeOlsProductions What you say may be true but what about a car and gas to get to that job. There's also insurance and registration. Assuming that this person is average when it comes to socializing, there's an occasional movie or something hanging out with friends. Just saying that having these kind of toys requires a bit of help from the parentals for sure. Oh, and being a youtube partner pays squat. I could recycle aluminum cans and get paid more than the majority of the partners out there.

@PilotMan7700 thats just in about 6 months. its not like he bought them all at once. he could easily afford an imac, his xsi, which is a shitty dslr, and an iphone for less than 2000, hang out with friends, and pay for his car insurance and car with the money you can make in a year. and most kids work longer hours on weekends, inthe summer ect. i didnt factor that in.

blackberrys are the best. i got my first one 2 years ago, and my dog chewed it up after a year, then i switched to windows phone and after a few months i was dying for another blackberry. im stuck with an old 9000 right now, but its better than the windows phone. i just use it as a zune now. im waiting for the bold 9900 to come out at at&t.

What are you, 12? Why do you even need a phone? My first phone I got when I was 16 when I got my license and it made phone calls, only. When I have kids it will be the same. In fact I really like the idea of a phone that can only call certain numbers, I think it's called a firefly. If they want anything else they're working for it and paying for it themselves!

My battery last sometimes up to three days with regular use on the iphone. Theres a lot of things that you can do to improve you battery life that I have learned and that's why mine lasts so long.

I have a Blackberry, but sometimes I wish i would have an iPhone.

Everytime i want to listen to music on the go i've to take my iPod with me. That is soo anoying to have 2 devices everytime espacially in case you want to but something other in your pocket. The next point is the internet browser. On the iPhone its really fun to surf the web but with the blackberry it takes years to load a site, still with wifi.

But with your points, you are right. i love my bb but an iPhone would be great, too

hey buds!!! your are young, but I think you are the few that are unbiased about the whole blackberry iphone debate. they both have their ups and downs. iphone like you said, is a great media phone. for example movies, music, playing around with apps and games. with blackberry you get a much more reliable sturdy phone. a phone that works very well, has amazing email support and amazing quality that makes it the best phone out there. berry best phone, and the iphone best media phone.

i have a Blackberry and I can't delete my emails all at once. And BTW, which Blackberry are you getting? I have the Curve 8330 (Or on Rogers I guess the 8300, 8310, 8320) and I would recommend getting the Curve 8520 or the Bold 9700.

yes, i like physical keyboards as well. I'm with AT&T and use a samsung. its both touch screen and physical keyboard. If you get a blackberry, make sure you will use it and that a smartphone isnt too much.

It's really down to whether you like physical keys or touchscreen. I'm hopefully getting an HTC Desire by summer. Forget about blackberries for a second, Android I see in the near future is going to be really popular. Right now I'd rather get an Android phone than an Iphone. Hopefully the iphone 4g will be good for apple's sake.

I'm in the same position as you are right now, i'm picking out a new phone in march/june, and thinking about switching from iphone to a blackberry bold. It's a tough choice, since I'm going to be stuck with it for about 2 years.

About the cases: there are a lot of color cases for the iphone though, I've seen a lot.

If you make the switch to Blackberry, and aren't satisfied, maybe you should try the Palm Pre (plus)! I would recommend an Android phone, but the best ones don't have the physical keyboard aspect you are lacking in your mobile phone life. My only problem with Blackberry's is their interface. It doesn't appeal to me, but that's only my preference. Good luck!

I've had an iPhone since June 29th, 2007. Since then i have gone though 6 different iPhones (1st generation, 3G, and 3Gs) and I just find the iPhone to be extremely boring now. I don't find myself wanting to use my phone as much. I completely agree what every reason you listen and I definitely encourage you to make the switch.

Blackberry battery life for me isn't that great. I have to charge it every night with only 3G turned on. No Bluetooth or Wifi. But I agree with what you said about the switching.

Apple batteries SUCK DAVE my ipod now will only play for 20minutes and then I have to charge it. You go with what you want,your the tech boy and I enjoy your videos very much. Peace
