@fatguyonpc I should also add that if you think this solo is good, check out the one from the song Veil of Maya from their first album. To this day that remains a gold standard in lead guitar creativity.

@jeffuary Completely agreed. When I first bought 'Focus' in '94 and heard Masvidal launch into that first solo; both mine and my best friend at the times jaws hit the floor in unison. As you say, it really is gold standard, interstellar stuff. The structure, technicality, composition and vision of it is immense. Musical moments like that do not come around much, yet these 2 records are filled with them. This is why Masvidal is a genius. And lets not get onto the end solo of How Could I... :)
