Remember who you meet and what you see are dependent on your pscyh eval as well as your actions in the game. If you want to experience certain scenes, think of obvious ways to make it happen. Silent Hill reflects your characters flaws. Want to see the barmaid? Harry needs a drinking problem. Notice that Harry investigates the beer a bit long in the store, as shown at 1:35-1:40.

I like the dialogue in this game. It makes a lot more sense than some of the other games (it explains why the character chooses to go on foot instead of getting a car, etc.) and we're already getting the hint that the car crash may have messed with Harry's head a bit.

Looks decent, but it is an unbelievable shame that the graphics have to suffer. Music is okay, nothing special, and how come there is no more gore? sexual themes? bloody parts strewn across rooms? This is like a kiddy version of silent hill.

Who said there aren't? This is a trailer accessible to the public. It won't include M-rated content. And it was announced ages ago that one of the paths in the game is sexual if your choices in the quiz and actions in the game dictate that.

Is it just me or does this not look like the Silent Hill we all know and love? This is NOT Silent Hill. It just isn't. It's an imitation. I am a die hard Silent Hill fan and will probably buy and play this anyways, but it is just missing that element that's hard to put your finger on that makes it the true creepfest the earlier games on the PS2 were. It's Silent Hill without the aura that makes it Silent Hill. They've taken something away.

The exam is how it starts you off, but your actions during the game continue to move you down different paths. You could answer the psy exam the same way and still end up with a very different game once you've gotten far enough into it.

So between both the exam AND your actions affecting the game, there's going to be a ton of replay value. In a real sense, you're creating your own unique special nightmare.

im waiting for this so badly, i hope that the ps2 version be as good as the wii version. i think this game is gonna be the best for both version and i hope it be my best video game for the ps2. at first the idea of "not killing monsters" i kind of like it but i didnt want to run all over the game but than i realised that without fightin the monsters the game will be more scary and more "survival" cause in the other SH when you know you can kill the monsters kind of loose the scare scense

Silent Hill isn't about any of those really. It's the disturbing nature of the game that makes it rated M. That and if any of the past games are anything to compare it too, blood and guts are in it.

I love how Harry's speaking loudly at the bartender until AFTER she says she's hard of hearing, then he speaks quietly and she hears him just fine. Haha. But otherwise, the game looks GREAT. I've pre-ordered and can't wait to play it.

All characters enemys and colors in the game changes acording to our fillups of kauffmans tests...there are at least 4 of all characters like if your answers represent sexual tension you have more perverted characters and monsters....also gose for the scaring system if you stop on a noise or with a light than the game notices your actions and use the same to scare the shit out of you :D and inteligent game, they make a revolution with this(also high replayability)

.....there are at least 4 different version of all characters depending on your answers on Kauffmans psy exams...those change everything from colors textures monsters and characters.! that is Cybil one of the many versions depending on your actions. if you have sexual tension in your answers she will be miore like a bitch if not she will be ordinary.

It also depends on what you do in the game. Like walking down the liquor department of a grocery store instead of a different isle, also looking down a women's shirt when talking to them. The game picks up on things like that and changes the enemies and charachters based on that.

It isn't only the exam, the game studies you ALL THE TIME (they even say that on the warning before the game starts) from the moment Dr K. sits down to the moment you finish it, the exam is just a "first impression" for the game to know you, just because you answer 'yes' to the sex question you won't get sexual themed stuff unless you play like a pevert and so on. The way you play afects the game more than the exam, way more.
