I couldn't exist if both were the same. And why do you hate "rock"? Maybe you should be more openminded and listen to bands you have never heard before.

Since blues was "invented" and played by the black community in USA we could say that the pure and soulful blues is "black", the way they played it. At what point does he say Funk Emerged from Rock? He says "Now Funk is just another style of rock". Theres quite a difference in what you're trying to prove right and what he says. Funk is 4 bars and 4 beats per minute JUST LIKE ROCK. Jazz is usually off beat triplets or improvised. He didnt mention it "Emerging from Rock". Get your facts right before trying to sound like a smart Alyc.

While he might sound like he's patronizing the viewers, he's actually doing a great job at making sure that his directions are clear so that we have a good idea of what the pattern is before he actually does it. It helps to put 2 and 2 together so we can learn the beats better and I, for one, think he does a great job.
