Save the 18th Street Green Space

If anything is done to this park it should be some perimeter additions such as some landscaping, a sidwalk and maybe some parking ... but only on the perimeter. Large groups practice football etc here and need the room ...others practice their golf. Sanford has many parks around town but none of them have such a large greenspace that can be used for the kid's sports practices. It should stay as is with perhaps some ammenities around its borders.

There needs to be community involvement to fight this. Write you councilman or show up at the City Council meetings, you will be astounded at what goes on there. Just like the splitting of the elections. And the average citizen has to take steps to stop this.

I live very close to this park and I think the city can go elsewhere to build their buildings. We have precious few parks around here as it is. It's beautiful and should be maintained as a public park.

All they know is destroy. I know Sanford is trying to put City facilities there, but when is enough enough. Seminole County can find plenty of places to let the developers have free reign, but they can't have a place for the Seminole County Fair. A Mall Parking Lot! How stupid! Shame on them!

I live blocks from this park and like to hit golf balls here. I would love to see the park more developed with walkways, benches and other park realted things. - Nelson
