I have the game, and i must say it´s hard as hell. But to be honnest, it did not expect anything else.

This is not battlefield.

This is not CoD

This is not an FPS.

It´s a first person war simulation. Expect to die allot, don´t just dive into the fight, but plan it. move your squad into a suitable possition. lay smoke if you have to cross open terrain, make sure to find proper cover.

1 25mm round wil kill you, but the same goes for a .50 call round.

Played the first OFP. Amazing game, and never found anything like it outside of Bohemia Interactive. Spent ages on the mission editor because the way the missions are structures reflect more of real life than even games like COD 4 etc. Also, the bullets are realistically lethal and the amount of equipment you can carry and how you interact with it and your environment is more realistic. Based on what i've seen, this new OFP has all of that AND THEN SOME. All I need now is the funds...

It's neither "esque", this is a unique, realistic game that, in my opinion, is better than both of those games.

It's not like C.O.D. that's for sure. Your character will be similar (a grunt with gun, knives, pistols etc) but with the ability to command your squad mates in the field (picture a system like Rainbow Six/Brothers In Arms but more intuitive and easy to use), and essentially COMPLETE FREEDOM on where you can go, and what u can do. Any place you SEE, you can walk there. Any manouevre you can think of, you can do. The enemy is intelligent, and one hit can kill. It puts real fear back into FPS.

i havent seen any gameplay(corret me if im wrong) that u can shoot while being a passenger in a transp[ort helicopter. I know you can use the miniguns but im talking about if u r guy is kitted with a sniper rifle, can u still zoom+ snipe or are u unable to shoot and just have to sit there?

This game is susposed to have an obscene amout of vehicles and guns. I'm sick of games that only a few guns. One example of stupid games that people like is Left 4 Dead. That game has like four or five guns and that is why its is stupid. OFP was developed by Bohemia way back in 1993, then OFP came out in 2001(for the gaming market), Bohemia sold to Codemasters(03/04). Bohemia are the developers behind VBS( Virtual Battle Space/War Simulators used by the Military(Marines)). Realistically saying VBS are the forefathers of all war fps. To me AA2 is the true OFP2, anyway gonna be a great game I would want to see the old heavy attack gunship Mi24 Hind in it & the SU25 -Frogfoot...

Ahh, it's been awhile since I last rated something so I guess it's that time again.

Operation Flashpoint 2, seems to be preparing something new and interesting to the table of shooter with an almost realistic game. This game features impressive A.I that coordinate attacks like real military combatics do. This has a lot of things, such as well made graphics, good combat features, and whole bunch of other things, thar I want to get into.

Rating: 8.9/10. IMO I would get this game.
