  • man where in the world are you filming your fires?! this is the second video i've seen you catch where 5 or more homes were lost, and seemingly due to what started as a brush fire. man, i'd never want to be that close to harm's way like those poor folks whose houses youve filmed. great vids tho, keep up the good work!

  • I thought you were filming a fire, not an earthquake...

  • Notice the brush leading to the houses in the foreground. They lead up to the wooden fences that lead to the flammable shrubbery, which lead to the houses. Add to that the aspect, the slope, temperature (90+), wind, and kids with matches. What could have prevented this? In my opinion: a brush clearing program on a wide scale, a concrete block "fence" to channel the heat upward, compositional roofs, and fire resistant plants. Just my opinion, not the RFD's (I just have their name).

  • Why was there not more space between the homes and the brush. I live in Minnesota near St. Paul. We do not have this kind of brush in Mn. I know high winds happered fire fighting efforts. If there was more clearence befor the houses maybe the FD could have had a chance to save the 6 homes that day!
