  • Hey all of you pieces of shit, all you can do is sit on a fucking computer and talk about greatness, years of experience and so much knowledge!!!! Haha I don't think so. You don't even have a fucking job, cut the crap, stop talking, be realistic. I am an illegal Mexican and I can trash all of you in any test ;) I'm willing to bet good money against any of you in a Virginia shypyard, talk to me !

  • totally missing the right hand pipe...lack of fusion....and the dicks trying it downhand

and check out the stray arcking on the side wall..amature

  • totally missing the right hand pipe...lack of fusion....and the dicks trying it downhand

  • every young welder just getting in the trade please and i stress please go uphand, Makes you a better welder, plus most of you WILL not get on the pipeline. Welding Super Syncrude Canada. Stay safe out there guy's and gal's

  • @BathNew17 why would you discourage potential young rising pipe welders by saying MOST of you will now get on the pipeline? theres plenty of work out there to be done and ever i mean EVER welder has his or her own way of making very nice clean strong passing welds.not just you

  • 7018 flux does not float up. must uphill 7018. if you are doing it for free, ya go ahead. but companies wont pay you for this retard shit.

  • beginners steer clear of his technique, he's not even tying in. "shitty weld"

  • wow lol everybody is saying no go uphill.......its a freakin root pass root pass down hill then usaully 7018 up hill fill and cap un less its a buried pipe line which then its usaully all down hill 5p+ . it all depends on the aplication theres even tig- 7018 combos ive even done mig root down hill and fluxcore fill and cap up hill in a few different shops in tulsa all these have asme procedures writ for them.....

  • do you have any advice for arc blow when welding pipe?

  • there is no difference in the strength of the weld in dh-uh and the reason this guy is skipping so many steps is because obviously hes drunk

  • I can see you're getting lack of fusion and not tying in on your starts and stops... why would you upload this video it could mislead a green welder?

  • LMAO at all you "expert" welders saying NOT to downhill. I'm guessing none of you have ever pipelined. ALL pipeliners downhill the root and things work out just fine.

  • @hitmachine44 hi never done downhill imagine u would use higher amps and a slightly wider root to get the penatration can i ask is there a special rod for d/h and whats the weld pool control like

  • whats up with the down hand theres no strength in it

  • also you new welders when you weld pipe that's fixed and you run it up hill you have to move the rod up and down yr root will look like nickels on the inside and be sure to put a dime to nickel land on your bevel

  • I have always been told that if you weld pipe uphill its stonger. ive never heard of someone welding pipe downhill but then again Ive only been doing this for 4 years

  • @Fatevin66 you dont get the penetration welding downhill as you do with up because the metal cools to fast. Uphill is always what I was taught.

  • @Fatevin66 just crank up the power another 20 to 50 amps it will be fine

  • Im in a high school welding class and we are welding 6010 vertical up

and I am having problems, my welds just look crappy and are filled with holes, im a pretty descent welder but have prolems with 6010

anybody have any tips for me?

  • push it in harder. with a 6010 you have to drive that son of a bitch. also try using a 1/16 or a 1/8 6010. the smaller, the better for vertical.

  • what size rod are you using? Try a 1/8th land and a 1/8th gap.and run it in anywhere from 75 t0 95 amps. Your fit up is the most important part, a bad fit up will lead to a bad weld. Try stepping the root in going vertical up. Get a keyhole going and then move up let the puddle solidify and move back into it. Step the root in the whole way up and keep a tight arc.

  • What kind of rod were you using there? What was you gap and land? Didn't sound like you were getting any penetration. Downhand you should go a 1/16 land and gap. Use a 1/8 6010 or 7010 rod at about 105 to 110 amps and drag the whole root from top to bottom.

  • no. go up, not downhill. downhill doesn't have nearly the tensile strength in while going uphill does.

  • can you give an advise on how to get better results in penetration (5G). is it vertical uphill or vert down? our teacher taught us uphill but i think yours is easier.

    pls reply.

  • always go vertical up. i've been in the welding industry for 10+ years and nobody welds downhill.

  • @nlvick2008 welding pipeline is always downhill...uphill is more refinery high quality stuff

  • lol yea i never welded pipe before im only eighteen and im taking my high school welding class rite now. i want to learn all i can and be the best i can be. all ive known since i was little is work work work. i love to weld.

  • You may have no idea what I am up against.

  • In reference to what my friend. Flying through the weld or so many posts at once?

  • i think u may be goin just a little bit too fast
