  • Kudos to the narrator who does an excellent job with a mid-atlantic accent, which was so much more prevalent in the 50s.

    Spot on, narrator!

  • It's neat how you made your video look like an old black and white film.

  • Very well done!

  • What is the music played at the beginning?

  • I like the anti-communist Jesuit. "I guess some things never change." Right. LOL

  • 10 people that disliked this video were actually caught by an earthquake and accidentally missed the like button

  • Also related - search for 'Duel of the Seminarians'. You can also view "Captains in His Army," upon which this video is based, on Vimeo - video number 9915935

  • my fav line - after RoboRector kills the wayward seminarian, ''the number of seminarians has gone below 7 million for the first time since 1965''.

  • In the future Seminarians don't say a prayers after getting up.

  • Does this seminary really exist? And do they wear cassocks?

  • I don't know if I like the door knob decision, but if his Holiness says so...

  • Wow I kindof wish my seminary was like this!

  • Is this a parody of "Captains in His Army"?

  • Very funny, until it is blamed on the Second Vatican Council. A Council misenterpreted by both Ultra-Tradidionalists and Ultra-Liberals. We all need to read the Council Documents instead of presuming to interpret what the Council said.

  • haha

  • Ha ha ha...this is great!

  • That was a brilliant parody of 1950's visions of the future! They thought we'd be so excited about ugly utilitarian technology like food pellets... little did they know we'd have ugly utilitarian liturgy instead... The narrator is excellent; he's got that 50's sound, authoritatively excited enunciation.

  • Haha! Very well done but just one question, why are there only two of them in class?

    JMJ+

    ~Betsy

    Totus tuus Maria!

  • Excellent.

  • Hehehehe Lucky Strike...

  • "Should have called him Illustrissime or Reverendissime!"

    Lol!

  • very funny!

  • well done

  • After the lecture on the evils of Communism by that zealous Jesuit and the phrase, "I guess some things never change," I lost all composure!

I'm going outside to smoke a cigar for the Holy Souls.

  • If only this was the future!

  • Yes, I would love that too..........but it's gone so bad.

  • Very droll. I loved the biretta at breakfast, now THAT is the church of the future!

  • This is a great vid. St Louis is lucky for having an awesome seminary.

  • 3 priests, in birettas and cassocks, having a smoke break on the lunar surface. The most awesomely surreal I've seen in a while. Brilliant!

  • haha Mike

  • Very funny! Good job guys.

  • Someone's bitter.

  • All the thousands of years in human history trying to find the answers and you figure it all out in just 19. You must be really smart.

  • There is something missing on this comments board...did gcurren buy the beverages?. LOL

  • 'ell, I'm aethiest, and I find this funny :D

  • Wonderful!

  • Hey I'm a sem, and that is great!!!!!!!

  • Excellent.

  • I think I would like some seltzer water, Gerald.

  • What a great laugh - if only things were like that when I was in seminary!

Going to spread the word about this!

  • At 10,000 views, I will buy each member of the cast and production team a beverage of their choice! Let's push this great video over 10,000. Offer expires December 31, 2007.

  • sounds good to me!

  • I can't wait to see this go international.

  • It already is - I heard some German bishops were discussing it!

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

    That was great!

  • Very nice, fellas. Glad to know you can still smoke around the ol' place!

  • This is Very Funny. I'll have to show it to my rector. Then again, it might inspire him to acquire his own laser.

  • Haha... that was great!

  • Wow :D, very nice indeed.

  • A video worthy of MST3K. Glad to see that humor still can be found in the hollow, er, hallowed halls of formation.

  • got any canticles for Leibowitz? ;-)

  • Brilliant!

2nd Tridentine Council which introduces two new minor orders:

    1) Sub-sub-porter (turns the doorknob for the porter)

    2) Sub-sub-deacon (whispers the prayers in the vernacular to the people)

    lol!

  • This is hilarious, you rule Mike!

  • Mike will make a great pastor some day!

  • I smell an Oscar!

  • I like the robo-rector. But robo-arm would be nice to have!

  • Keep up the good work Billy!

  • great job!!! i thought it was hilarious!
