If NC was a candidate, I think Chester A. Bum would've been a better doctor. The daleks are no match for his CHANGE. They shoot at him, he deflects it with a penny, then throws it int their eyestalk and proceeds to take them apart and sell them.

i talked to my mates about this before this annoncement, and they were so sure an older actor would play the role but, i knew better they want to keep doctor who for the younger audience and i knew they would not cast a black actor for the role for the same reason that they gave miss freema agyman the chop, the doctor travels through different time periods of earth history and its sad but true history has been very unkind to black people.

you know what, Matt Smith will be fantastic, he will do an amazing job and be many people's favourite Doctor, David Tennant will go down as argumentally the best doctor ever and will never be forgotten, i'm just looking forward to his return for a special series with 2 doctors, just have to wait for it to be written.... I liked that reaction. I think we may have to wait and see how Matt does. Although, from what I've seen of him in other dramas, he's a good choice for the role.
