i have heard so many people try{and fail miserably} to get any kind of rise out of me when singing this song. but it wasn't until i heard it being sung by Arnold McCuller,that i was able to absorb the full impact of the significance of the song. my hat goes off to this gentleman. kudos to you....and thank you for singing this song the way i believe it was intended to be sang!

@ rebeccaarroyo -- If you're a purist you should feel good; this IS our National Anthem. Our National Anthem has 4 Stanzas, but most only know the first. This is the second half of the 4th stanza, so as a purist you can feel good that he's not taking liberties at all with the song, but singing a part most have never heard.

This should be the verse always sung not the first. I know why it isn't. But, in my mind this is the best verse. Note he changed the words a bit when singing "for our cause it is just" is not correct. It is "when our cause it is just" nitpick but a bit different meaning. Anyone can SAY their cause is just. The cause must actually be just not us saying it is.

"When our cause it is just" is better because it implies that we fight only when absolutely necessary to protect freedom and liberty rather than "for our cause it is just," possibly referring to all the unnessesary wars there have been in recent history and saying that the cause IS just when it isn't!

The US anthem is a hard one to get right, ive seen soccer games in the US where it has been slaughtered. However, its a great tune and I maintain the belief that this is the best version I have ever heard! (good film as well)

The drums in the background really are awesome. Arnold does an amazing job (especially in this day and age, when you're usually grateful if you can recognize the tune among all the performer's twists)...but the drums really add a cool element into the mix.
