Korn is heavy-drumming, loud ass, awesome bass, emotional lyrics, and low-tuned guitars. Munky is perfectly capable of writing great solos, but they wouldn't fit in with Korn's style, considering all that loud drumming and bass riffs, a solo just doesn't fit in.
But who knows maybe the new album might have solos? Then again again, the new album is supposedly Korn going back to their old days which had no solos either.

This solo is very good. Btw Almost every guitar player out there these days are better than Jimi Hendrix in a technical sort of sense. But Jimi modernized rock guitar. The man was an excelent player but this solo displays much more technical ability than something Hendrix could have done. To bad Munky couldnt have added any sweeps. Anybody know what keys this is in? Im pretty sure its A Minor leading into D Aeolian but im not positive.
no actually. Hendrix really for todays standards isn't that great of a guitarist. I mean songs like Little Wing and Castles Made of Sand are pretty hard, but with persistance can be played easily. Try playing something that Oli Herbert plays or Buckethead. That takes years of practice.
That's ridiculous but I do agree that Buckethead isn't an average player like Munky. Dimebag, Malmsteen. If you were making that comparison, I'd slightly agree, but not with the average rock guitarists of today. 3 Chord Angus Young plays better than most of them.

the problem with this 'solo' is its not in key/rythem with the music, it sounds horrible. yes, its some cool (typical) solo stuff. but i think he wouldve been better off without the background music.

munky and head never have claimed to be shredders, there not there more on the lines of riff writers, so dont pick on munky to hard for this solo, main reason because hes playing solos and people would always complain about them not putting solos in there songs, anyways its still great to see that korn still clearly have the "creative juices" to just continue on.

Pretty much we love Munky(and Head for that matter) and when we see him put out some Cool stuff, Korn fans love it. And when you become a Cliche "Guitar God" Go around the world for us, and tell other guitar off in a condisending manner.

Ok all this goddamn bickering needs to end. Pride is never wrong with guitarists, but when they think they're better than everyone in the world, than pride has gone too far. You will always have someone better or worse than the last. Respect any guitarist that's a beginner, intermediate, or advanced, because we all started from scratch before and after learning what we did. Don't hate! Learn to appreciate! I Do, and you should too, Pride can be helpful, and goddamn destructive, use it wisely.

the problem with this 'solo' is its not in key/rythem with the music, it sounds horrible. yes, its some cool (typical) solo stuff. but i think he wouldve been better off without the background music.
korn used to be my favorite band. i wanted to get really good at guitar so i could play all there songs. so i started getting into metal and never looked back.
