Well go tell them.. that`s what they called this music... and they were dancing to the music.. the same group played at our house and that`s also what they called it....PERICO RIPIAO.. I also have some palo videos... san Miguel... but then again people say that it`s not palo.. anyway some people seem to know more than others... The only thing is I loved it and had a damn good time.. whether it was palo perico or what have you not..

This is not "Merengue" tipico this is called "Mangulina", in fact Mangulina predates Merengue by a few decades. you can hear the difference of the "Tambora" or beat drum, in mangulina it sounds different because the African influence is more pronounced.
