When are apple going to face an antitrust law suite for packaging safari with mac os? or linux for packaging firefox? the while IE thing is more microbashers jumping on the bandwagon.

It has to do more with the fact of how integrated IE is with Windows... it is not just a browser... things like Windows Update and some websites will only work in IE.

both valid points, but my argument is so what? you don't HAVE to use it to browse the net. I cant say i've come across any sites in recent years that are browser specific. besides, MS don't make the bloody websites, so if they don't work it's not exactly their fault. As for windows updates being integrated with IE, I didn't know that was the case, I'll give it a test when i can be arsed. Either way, who cares? If Microsoft want to do it that way, that's their choice, it's their software.
