This kinda reminds me of that one game at Chuck E. Cheese where you put a coin in the slot, and then you shoot it at one of the targets, each of which has a different ticket amount listed. If you hit the target, you get those tickets, obviously.

I ordered another machine and got this one (said the other one was discontinued, and I was getting an updated model) hehe whatever its sweet but I'm noticing it has like the same case design, VC has no LED screen of course. okay, well the version of Evangelion pachinko is very old they have much newer versions that you will enjoy everywhere:-) at all pachinkos in japan Evangelion is there. very popular but slower pachiko machine.

you should find a place with ichi yen machines(like penny slots) same pachiko machine but alot cheaper than the yon yen machines.

Look at the vintage pachinko machines here on youtube. First you buy some ball bearings. Load a bunch in the hopper on the machine. You shoot ball bearings up into the machine. Sort of like shooting balls in pinball. There is a knob to control how hard they shoot. The ball bearings fall down the machine. If they land in the holes you score. The machine then spits out ball bearings. Like a slot machine spits out coins. You can then trade in the ball bearings for prizes.

@zachk1983 From what I have seen on TV, that isn't legal in Japan. But they found a clever loophole in the law. You trade in the ball bearings for a gold colored coin/token. You then take it to a booth around the corner from the pachinko parlor where you exchange it for money.

You win some gold in plastic boxes (0.3g each) depending on how much small balls you have. Then you trade your gold for cash (1'000 yen for 0.3g) outside with a Yakuza.

Played once and was lucky, I won 4'000 yen(about 30 euros) in 30 minutes.

yes, pachinko is gambling, it's not that hard to hit a jackpot, depending on the machine its 1/100 to 1/400. They key is going into kakuhen mode and hitting a long string of consecutive jackpots.

It's a game of complete chance, first you have to get the ball in the center hole... then the Slot-like tiles spin, you have to line up 3.. and then you have win some other random event 3x... and THEN you actually get some winnings haha. And yes you can win big, but it takes time to do so and it's not very common.
