Hearing a heart-melting serenade like this, in German, I'm reminded of a scene from the movie "Amadeus," where the royal folk were about to commission a new work from Mozart and they started debating whether to ask for his new opera to be in German or Italian. ...One argued that Italian "is the proper language for Opera. ...That German is just "too brutal for singing!"
