"let me go" is a line from the herman hitson song "you are too much for the human heart." indeed this is a bass and drum take from that exact song, just changed in pitch. hendrix DID work for hitson for a bit, however i do not think that this is hendrix. it just plain doesn't sound like him at all.

This song is like a story, and there is no real ending to it. First time I heared it from a cd, i put in on repeat and soaked in it for about an hour.. Had a great time! Did put some lyrics to it and play it with the band now. Too bad leadguitar can't come close to this. Think it could be Jimmy... Drums sound familiar.. Buddy Miles?
Im no music expert, but i heard this for the first time and thought it sounded very similar to Lynyrd Skynyrd - "Tuesdays Gone"... i may be way off here... im a fan of both artists and was amazed of the similar sound of the two ... anyone else hear a similarity?
This is not Hendrix. I've been listening to him for nearly 40 yrs. This sounds nothing like him. And this isn't a cover of the Stones' song from1980. It should be obvious it was recorded long before that. And it's not live. Just because it may have been on a Hendrix boot doesn't make it Hendrix. It's not even that good.
ALL OF YOU ARE ARGUING ABOUT IF ITS HENDRIX OR NOT AND WHO GIVES TWO SHITS? CHANCES ARE WHOEVER PLAYED IT IS DEAD BY NOW AND CANT BE PROVED WHO PLAYED IT AND IT SOUNDS GREAT SOMEONE TAB IT TO MAKE THE GUITARISTS HAPPY AND JUST ENJOY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@badboykane because i dont actually put genuine information on the internet as being targeted by one add campaighn after another pisses me off just like the email isnt genuine
this is definitelly 100% not Hendrix,,, this was another example of the shhit that got released under hendrixes name and it does not even remotely sound anywhere as good as hendrix was
Definatley not Jimi unfortunately. I found an article about it here,
h t t p : / / w w w . earlyhendrix. c o m / artists/lonnie/ fake.h t m
Found on many bootlegs of material claiming to be Hendrix. Goes by names "You are Too Much For The Human Heart", "Let Me Go" and "Louisville". I still Love that song though even if it isn't Hendrix its beautiful.
why all the minus? Check out for yourselves. Let me go by Jagger / Richards is from 1980, it's a up-tempo rocker and has nothing to do with this classic "rare outtake". This is, maybe, or maybe not, a boot with/by Hendrix.
I have this on 3 different cd sets, I hadnt had time to look them up yet, but its supposed to be intrepreted from the stones version, I read it someplace also, good work!
Maybe You're Right, It Just Sounds Like One Of Those Lonnie Youngblood Fake Hendrix Recordings. Theres People Out There Warning Me About Certain Bootlegs And Compilations, That Have "Alleged Hendrix" Audio. I Gotta Check This Out, Whats The Comp Called? I Heard Something That Sounded Similar To This, It Was A Double Cd Called "Fire" It Looked Like A Import Bootleg..
I've listened to this song for years. It was titled "human heart" on an Italian import vinyl cut-out album I bought for $1 in 1982 or 1983. Album called "jimi Hendrix -The story of Rock". I've never been sure its really Jimi or not. Rest of the album is some weird jazz. Definately not a cover of "let me go" Stones didn't record that until 1980.

Dragon9133 . Hey DamienBoy13. Where did you see him live. i had this CD and it was great. I know this is Jimi. I could have been played at the Scene Club in 1968. Great tune.

The man himself or not, this is a beautiful tune.
awesome video!

This does not sound like JIMI at all. Mainly the high E string notes were played weakly, JIMI's solos were always clear on the higher strings.

It's Hermon Hitson not Hendrix.
