  • CRASSSSSHHHHHHHHH

  • My phone was able to run Pokemon red with 2 fps.... :(

  • how do u install themes

  • muy bueno el video :)

lástima que se ve lento. :(

  • One thing I don't get. My Windows Mobile standard can do Need for Speed Shift with DS-like graphics and reflective effects on the cars, yet Quake Pocket PC crashes when it tries to start.

  • Hello. And there are bugs were, or on a Pocket PC all clearly visible? I just thought that everything will be radially but seeing your videos doubted.

    From a love of Google)

  • LAAAAAG...

  • Danke...for the Deutsch/english translation.....

  • Wow 2fps?? My HTC Diamond runs 18 fps...

  • @merleatmo : So what? My HD2 runs it fullspeed if i want, not my fault you dig up an old video like that... ^^

  • @merleatmo you can get fullspeed if you get it hardware accelerated and you overclock

  • sorry but, i dont see any pocket pc or mobile phone anywhere in this video

  • DOH! Thats because i dont record the screen with a cam. I streamed the content of my PDA to my Desktop PC and recorded it "live" using Camtasia.

  • I tried PocketQuake on my PDA (I think that is the first version of quake made for PPC) It works really great (25-30FPS).

  • für mich sieht das schwer nach Virituel PPC von MS^^

  • you get 1-3 FPS and you call this a game?

  • No, i called it a Tech-Demo, but people usually never read older posts it seems... ;) The port was made but never optimized. It runs faster without the recording software running in the background too.

  • running way better on n95 8gb

  • GTX 295?

  • I wish I could run this, I have a Audiovox PPC-6600

  • Will this work for Omnia (i900)?

  • Dunno, since i dont have an Omnia... :)

  • where to download?? :D

  • this ran alright on my ipod touch (1st gen), but there is no way in hell Im gonna even try on my htc touch!

  • What PPC is that? I see you're playing with a mouse.

  • phones like the omnia allow you to use a curser by using the little sensor in the middle. not a mouse though.

  • its laggy as hell. but still cool.

  • if this is cool to you then i don't know what to say...this game is messed up!!!

  • coooooooooooool

  • What is a pocket pc processor?

  • its a pocket pc processor O_o

  • CPU: intel PXA 270. 520 MHz.

    Graphics: NNvidia GoForce 5500

  • I play Doom in my PDA (when it had broken battery), but this games forces the CPU :( thats the reason for why i don't play this games in PDA, but i can't resist the force!

  • the fact that this works at all is pretty amazing! Its a phone after all! sweet

  • Can I play it without a D-Pad?

  • Plain and simple: No

  • = /

Get the Diamond2, the man said.

Way better than that Diamond 1, the man said.

    *anger*

  • Is there any way to get around this problem?

I just got this new phone a few days ago, cost a bombshell = /

    So new phone = NO

  • The Diamond2 is a great device, but not for gamers... ^^ I am not sure, but maybe an extra bluetooth gamepad could help. I am not sure if those are supported by this port unfortunately...

  • langsam

  • Wow,

    It's so laggy

  • Its like playing Halo 3 on a 486 PC. :p

  • works but its kinda slow

  • it will run on a htc touch viva?

  • Lol, these lags :D Runs totally smooth on my Nokia N82, in landscape mode. But it is very hard to play, without a mouse :)

  • And even much better graphics :-O My graphics are just like in good old Quake 3, even in the start - reflexion of myself in that mirror :)

  • WOW someone else has that phone too!

  • Screen capture eats your processor, do a test ;D

  • Can u tell me where to get this game? im using omnia. thanks!

  • Yes Quake 1 but not Quake 3 arena :P

  • i have crysis on my notebook sony vaio whit hibrid grafics he can run crysis on low to medium about 4 hours :) better than a psp huh ?

  • LAG

  • just so u noe it does have online play ITS FREAKING AWESOME and pretty fast via WiFi and as you can see on this page hernexto has a video response which shows him playing against his computer.

  • The Dell Axims x50v and x51v have the graphics chip accelerators that allow Quake III to run smoothly. I think you can still pick them up for like $200

  • now u can pick up an axim x50v for about like $125 USD plus shipping on ebay

  • no, its like 150 plus shipping for the cheapest axim x50v but i got mine for 194 including a shitload of accessories

  • Finally a new quake 3 PPC video on youtube!

I take it you are running on a PPC emulator? so does it emulate different processor speeds? for example you set it to 400mhz? Or is this actually your device's screen being captured? are you running VGA or QVGA?

  • mikeeey1337 read my comment on ur vid about quake on ur kaiser. oh and yu should put a Q3CE vid on Youtube too

  • read the 2 comments ive sent back lol. I have tried Q3ce multiple times, as there has been a few updates. I've ranged between 1-2 frames per second lol. but now with recent development of OpenGL drivers i should be seeing an improvement, hopefull around 15-25fps, but i cant guarentee this, no one can, HTC really screwed us with this Qualcomm processor, i wish they would go back to Xscale + acceleration.

  • i feel ur pain man...i fukin hate my htc touches TI processor dats why i sold it and bought an axim x50v on ebay and a nokia e65 (i was phoneless after i sold it) at first i really wanted the kaiser but when i saw the processor i was like *sigh* i guess i will just have to wait...until then time for some mobile fraggin on my x50v

  • lol the TI is better than the qualcomm processors. do your TI procesors give you a horrible lag when you touch the screen? if not...let me briefly explain this to you. for some reason, when samsung introduced their processor on the 8525 (TyTN) when you press and hold the screen, your CPU usage jumps to 70% (i tested this with a task manager) and due to this, games + graphics lag horribly. there is a quake video on youtube showing the screen bug, type in quake 8525.

  • yes there is extreme lag when i tap the screen and games run like shit...heck i couldnt even get Q3CE to work on my HTC touch, luckily my new axim x50v will be able to run it as smooth as silk

  • I really wish they madea new version of the Axim series. A versino that is a phone, and has a keyboard, and smaller. lol. I like my devices to me phones

  • Basically its only a tech-demo to show its possible. The only PDAs that can reach acceptable framerates are those with a supported 3D chip.

  • its not a tech demo. It is the full Quake 3 game. They've had this working for some time.

  • Damn thats laggy

  • Hello, this is a port of Quake III that was made to work on Pocket PCs. You need the port and the original and packed Quake III Files to run that game on your Pocket PC.

  • this is a spacial version for pocket pc or you managed to put the normal pc version in thpocket pc?

  • Wie man sehen kann läuft es nicht wirklich flüssig. Normalerweise brauche ich so eine Minute um Crash im Startlevel fünf mal zu fraggen, aber zielen ist in diesem Port fast unmöglich...

As you can see its not really fluid. Usually i need around a minute to fragg crash five times in the first level, but aiming is VERY hard on this port...

  • what PPC are you using? Quake 3 was intended for graphically accelerated PPC's such as the Dell Axim x50v/x51v series.

Also some people resorted to upgrading their internal ROM memory to 128mb for an added boost.
