I love this, Grappelli's technique is amazing even when he's laying on a bed! Grappelli's got such a sweet vibrato and i love the lick he pulls at the end of the melody be4 Django enters at 2.07 (i've been tryin to work that out for years).
without this we wouldnt have lady gaga so if you think about it, they actually created this future we live in today, with thier pretentious and smugness that we see again today but with people whoa re undeserving, its still the style the undeserving ones liek lady gaga have to adhere to that makes you hate her ego so much.. remmember thelonius monk and django had worse egos..
@domenicocusumano J'attendrai Swing. But you don't find many tabs for Jazz pieces. Real guitarists, and a lot of Jazz guitarists are real guitarists, use their ears.
Priceless. I reckon Django plays a bum F# at 2:49 - I have this on DVD and you can almost see him wince while his brother Joseph grins to the other guitarist, then as if to compensate, Django silences everybody 2 bars later with that audacious chromatic run.
An absolute gem¡¡¡¡, who would thought such an instruments line up would be crucial to music?, who would say one of jazz absoulte influences would como from France? I knew very very well of Django's damaged hand, but seeing him play is quite unbelievable, hats off to the genereous soul who shared this, cheers and good luck.
Linda música!!

@ooconnor My ear is not attuned to such nuances, but I enjoyed your comment. Always great to hear another musician deconstruct what's being heard.

Make if official. Just because you're young, that's no excuse for ignorance of the greats who created it all.
